It certainly hasn't damaged the Giro this year. Which riders have been taken away? Look at all the GC guys here. The only stage I've watched was that mountaintop finish, and I regretted that..

Cavendish/ other sprinters? Schleck/s? BMC riders for Evans? Not Andy, I suppose, but maybe Franck, or Fuglsang. That's about all I can manage, though.

Actually, no. QuickStep, BBox, Campagnolo, and others have seemed more present. Sky, obviously, too. Even Saxo, which sent its B-team. But, yes: Liquigas has been very impressive.

Showing us what the ground looks like, such heroes

Wow..the bottom of the Duron is steep!

Sean Kelly has just tipped Mollema for the Maglia Bianca..........

I think Sastre will win this. Zoncolan is for the pure climbers and he's the best in this field. He's alos entering the final week of a Grand Tour when he usually starts improving while everyone else starts to falter. I think Evans is the only one who could spoil my prediction.

Liquigas is shedding people already. Sastre going backwards, and I can't see Wiggins anywhere.

When have the Schlecks rode the Giro recently? I think the sprints have been about as exciting as sprints can be tbh. And that's BMC's fault really, isn't it?

Where the eff are Sky? I was hoping Wiggins would give it his all on Zoncolan, just to see how well he could do, but it looks like he might have sat up already.

Dan Martin up near the front of the peloton, he has been pretty anonymous so far this Giro.
