Sastre doing his classic "start the climb at the back of the peloton and waste energy passing riders" tactic.

I think Sastre will win this. Zoncolan is for the pure climbers and he's the best in this field. He's alos entering the final week of a Grand Tour when he usually starts improving while everyone else starts to falter. I think Evans is the only one who could spoil my prediction.

I am keenly watching sastre. This stage will be the indicator on if he has it for the giro win

Has he now? He's more optimisitic than I am.

he had a lot of high praise for him, and believes porte and Kiserlovski could lose a lot of time in the next week.

These smaller climbs may not be decisive on their own but they should not be dismissed. If you have the firepower you can use them to soften things up so that the people crack earlier on the zoncolan and the gaps are bigger. Liquigas have the firepower.

Yeah, as soon as I made that prediction he started hanging off the back of the group. He's made his way back up but damn does he ride strangely sometimes.

Mollema could also lose a lot of time in the next week, too, you know.

switched browsers, got better, probably out of mem

What OS/Browser are you running? You don't need a lot of memory for live streaming. Half a gig is more than enough. Switch to Opera if Firefox is playing up.

Wow the Maglia Rosa group down to about 20 with 2 more climbs to go.
I hope Szmyd can survive to lead them onto Zoncolan. It is really gonna blow them up.

Porte is indeed still there, as is Pinotti, but I'm pretty sure Tondo isn't.

The only giant é I spotted was Sastre himself.

Gibo and Samulau stubbornly clining to the back of group 1.

Indeed, and I think he will. It was not my comment ;)
I expect him to do better then the two, but I highly doubt he will get that much time off them.

25 riders and they still have to climb the Valcalda before the beast...total massacre today

Simoni just hanging from the back of this very small group.
Dropped for good. (he probably returns in the descent but it's as far as he could expect)

Lots can happen going forward. Cause the slip around on these particular slopes doesn't mean they won't have enough in the bank for the last.
