Any idea who pulled them back? Doesnt seem like the sort of break anyone would worry too much about?

Any of the non-GC teams who missed the break.

If they don't have a solid tailwind, that's moving. It's to be expected though, a day for the break and everyone wants to be in it.

De Marchi (Androni), Frank (BMC), Izagirre (Euskaltel-Euskadi), Mazzanti (Farnese Vini), Bak (Lotto), Herrada (Movistar Team), Maes (Omega Pharma-Quick Step), Clement (Rabobank), Brandle (NetApp), Boaro (Saxo Bank) y Lagutin (Vacansoleil)

Must have been a tough pace going up that climb. Could be a hard day for anyone who was dropped there unless there was a decent-sized group left behind. A break should go soon and the pace should then drop giving them a chance to get back on before the pace ramps up later on.

Yeah, quite possible. Sky tracker showing

63 J. Izagirre (ESP, EUS) +57:46
134 L. Bak (DEN, LTB) +1:17:02
43 M. Frank (SUI, BMC) +1:38:33
26 De Marchi (ITA, AND) +1:53:27
78 L. Mazzanti (ITA, FAR) +2:12:34

with a lead of 2.30. Maybe there are more in the move that they have yet to add though.

Edit: Sky tracker showing Mazzanti both in the move and as a DNS....

I'd say Lagutin dropped off himself - only 10 mins down on GC so too dangerous to let go.

After the fast early pace and the break getting away so late it looks like one of these will be winning.

I'll go with Frank FTW.

Do you know for sure how many are there? Sky tracker has added Maes and Herrada to the front group so maybe they will add a few more and you will be right with 10 being in the break.

Edit: Boaro, Brandle and Clement added. Looks like it is the original 11 - Lagutin
