Either Carapaz, SYates or Gee needs to make one big dig to kill the UAE train, nobody else has the power to do it.
I'd like to see that but the UAE guys will just chase back on during the descent and be there for the shallow start of the final climb. If anything is going to happen at this point there's a roughly 3km section @ 7% close to the top of the small final climb. Or just wait till tomorrow?

Just came home. Have only looked sporadically on pcs. Doesn't feel like the most exciting stage?

What's the worst that could happen by opening up the race here for Yates and Carapaz? Like 30 seconds max to IdT? But also get a bit more fatigue in him for tomorrow? I think that makes sense. They have to crack him on Finestre anyway.

I can't for the life of me understand why this negative riding is exciting to some, mid-level riders riding together without anyone able to make an impact/dent, rather just riding together. Are they waiting untill Rome to attack?

That being said, Torito looks better than one might have thought before the stage, but no one really put him to the test either.

Majak is the opposite of robin hood, he robs grand tours from the poor and gives them to the rich. How does he look himself in the mirror at night man
He looks in the mirror, thinks of what Karsten Kroon said about him, and reaffirms to himself saying "no, you really don't look like Spongebob Raf"

Yeah, he can still carry a tune despite his advanced age.
He is really shining this year!! If you watch lots of videos from Del Toro stage win ..Rafal comes over and screams at Del Toro. " I told you, you could do it!! " and he has ridden really hard for Del Toro..Majka is 35 so he may have lost some snap and speed, power and endurance he still has in reserve.

I don't think 7% gradients are fatal in and of themselves, but I do admit that with this field they're a massive waste of space. 8/9% already makes a huge difference.

I agree, would love to see bold risk taking.. So rather than you and I rag on the lumps sitting around..Prodhomme is delivering on dynamic, win or lose, guy is burying himself..what a ride!!
