I’m taking the day off from work to watch the stage. The last time I did that for a Giro stage was stage 19 in 2018.

Today most of Denmark is not working, because it was ascension day yesterday (which is a national holiday), so most people take off work Friday to make it a 4 day weekend.

Nice for EF to have Steinhauser out in front already while the flat part makes it hard for other climby types to get away from the peloton.

He's got 6 other guys with him, and it would stand to reason that none of the top 4 are going long range today, because they gaps on GC are so small and the risks so great.

I think it will be relatively calm until the last cat. 1
Not so sure about that today but appreciate your point!

You have to remember they all know there is tomorrow as well.

Going deep and risking it all on a long range attack today, may cost them the Giro tomorrow.

If gaps were 3-4 minutes we'd see long range today, but gaps being what they are I don't think so.

Mind you I'm talking about the top 4 - below that people will try.

One day, when the Sun is about to turn into a red supergiant and engulf the earth into solar flames, the intergalactic space federation shall evacuate the people of earth in spaceships so gigantic like you wouldn't believe.

But somehow, Team Polti will even miss that breakaway

Good thing about Italian rider communicating with Italian car driver is that you don't need any sound to understand what they are saying.

Very very disappointing from Astana. Think they thought it will last to this climb and were completely surprised by these groups going clear just before

It was neutral service. And they're probably out of bottles. The neutral service motorbike also denied some riders asking.
Ah, understood. I thought if it had been Astana's team car that would have been a massive fail to not have a bottle for their own rider.

Hey Tricycle. Best day of the week, who are we cheering for on this beatiful day?
So many choices, but besides Nairo I think it's McNulty's time to shine. Or Scaroni because he's the only Astana rider in the break and needs a bottle.
