Garzelli was probably thinking he would stay out front long enough so could get to the top with the Basso group. Not a bad idea. Just they climbed too fast.

lol. Typical race thread, this one. They all devolve into the same thing right at the end of the stage.
i know but what can you do? Ive think ive done OK in staying out of it

Well, it was fun while it lasted but the battle for the MR is over. Tomorrow will be similar to today but should be interesting as far as the battle for the final podium positions is concerned. Sunday probably won't mean a thing.

And no. I want the Dutch talents to have shots at riding all the big races they want. Sorry.

Dutchies...does Skil have any chance to pick up any bigger named riders? Any rumors?

You don't have to be sorry...Skil is a great team at what they do...I am a Rabo fan as well...

Simoni was not no one back in 2006. He is 4 years older now and is racing his last race. He has won the Giro twice - he deserves more respect than to be called a no one. It is just makes you look like an idiot.

Beating someone by 9mins who was a former champion means nothing, Basso should have Sastre covered by around 18mins and he won the TDF only 2 years ago.

Simoni 9mins - Sastre 18mins which one is more conclusive hmm?

+1 but whoa!

:D

+ 1 to that being said about probably the only person who has constantly shown nothing but patience and tolerance to your incessant showing of lack of intelligence and understanding of the sport.
Had enough of you. You're on the ignore list.
The troll above will keep you company there.

I know, some times it is difficult to stay quiet :).

For the most part the thread has been pretty good.

Bloody great race though!!

How about you shut up for once and follow the forum rules. It's annoying that we have to hear your whining about doping every time the object of your passion gets his *** kicked. Go to the clinic.
