Hindley kind of blew those last 4 km, but Hart I think went deeper than even he thought he could.

Don‘t get this at all. It‘s so exciting to see new faces in front of a GT.
My problem isn't that the faces are new, my problem is that I'm still very unsure about how good the level in this giro actually was. I just don't know whether those guys are now consistently gonna compete for gt's for the next decade or whether this was a Hesjedal like one off.

Not the profile we've been hoping for, but more than satisfying compensation in racing.
And not sure should we call this edition one of the odd Giros... Geoghegan and Hindley head and shoulders above the rest at the moment.

Don't worry Giggles

Rohan Dennis is enduring, eternal and inevitable.

Dennis super domestique. Too bad Kelderman didn't crack earlier in the race, it would have been better for Hindley. Still the young guys are doing it again. Always had some doubt about Kelderman. Teo expected to win it now.

Imo, this is a Hesjedal sort of win. Level is so low cos 2020 and all the top riders going to the Tour as no idea how long races would proceed.

Likely more the latter. I think these guys around both consistent contenders in the new era - Almeida included - but don't think they're the elite until they do it against elite climbers. There were none here. Kuss in this race would have been interesting but probably too many TT kms for him.
