Thank you God. According to the last couple of posts in here he does have a pulse. I'll take any positive news right now, and that's a huge one. I've been praying since it happened. C'mon Wouter! I have faith that he will be fine.

Good win for Vicioso, rather boring stage but I hope Weylandt will be okay, it just sounds so badly...

Rai shows the helicopter landed in a field and waiting to bring him down.

Their man in place said that the unfortunate rider seems to had hit his left pedal in a little wall (or a guardrail) and lost balance.

The race is followed by a medical team, the hospitals near the route always have a surgery room reserved, + the peloton is followed by the mountain rescue too.

Rai live showing a helicopter landing now! It appears he is still on the course!

Hopefully the fact that the helicopter has landed is positive.

Rai is sort of showing live images still...going between studio and heli shots of crash and it looks as though he is still at the site and not in hospital

In high school football games (american) there is always an ambulance present at games. Same with basketball. Is there any sort of emergency vehicle that follows the races?

There is a difference in stupidity and ignorance. I have no shame from the latter. I asked a simple question because I didn't know. You posted a rude internet meme in a thread discussing a life that hangs in the balance. I much prefer being ignorant to being classless.

Surely if the worst is realised his family will be notified before a public announcement!

The RAI presenters are very solemn.
