nor crucifying them but don't get why they are showing california. it just not that good.

like I said rights to the giro are expensive. SBS doesn't have the funds of 7, 9 etc. ANd the ToC has LA, which in general has a lot more public interest. Unfortunately pleasing the cadel fanboys isn't good business. WHUDA THOUGHT?

criticize the media in general if anything - especially tabloids - for doing little for the advancement of cycling in the public view.

The Victorian media especially, bullies footy onto the public.

--- excellent win by Llyod, congrats!

Probably because it hangs a lampshade on your hipocrisy :)
Or don't you remember your own accusations of the same on the Lotto team 2 days ago? ;)

This win just proves they were always a bunch of egomaniac stage hunters!

would prefer 3 live stages of giro than anything of california.

3 live stages of the Giro would cost more than California.

As I say, they are a government funded station and don't have $$$$$ to please your needs. If you want them to do it, then write to Rudd and Swan and get them to inject more money into SBS.

You can't seriously be from melbourne surely? Not one single person would stay up until 1am to watch Armstrong race, the only people who actually like him are the people who are watching their 1st ever cycling event and get told he is a star.

Those of us that are actually fans of cycling couldn't give a rats tossbag about Armstrong or the ToC

Seems it's not just Evans who has benefited from him leaving Lotto.
Seems they can deliver when the shackles are removed.

It's understandable. They had a GC contender to protect and work for, with Evans.

Now they don't have anyone so they have a lot more freedom to go with moves.

EDIT: Dan Martin loses truckloads of time

Such is the freedom of not working for a GC contender, expect them to be much the same as last year in the TDF though, van der brock or w/e his name is will surely want support.

I bet they'll make an ass out of themselves again in the Tour by giving Van den Broeck 8 domestiques :)

Hate to break it to you but California is shown in the morning from 6am, when 70% of the population in the Eastern states will be out of bed.

More importantly SBS have a deal with ASO. They get le Tour, Paris-Roubiax and the Dakkar rally and then get some stuffing thrown in with the deal. That's why we get Tour de Bukina Faso highlights and an over emphasis is placed on the ToC.

Until OneHD do a deal with RCS and Unipublic we'll have to make do with live tickers and web forums for non-ASO events, so please stop filling the forums with AFL nonsense!
