that would be nice wouldnt it!karlboss said:let's for a day pretend they are on a level playing field, it was a great race.
Not sure but it would make me chuckleJamsque said:Hahaha, Farrar only just getting his points jersey now, since he came in more than twenty minutes down. Cuddles is only 2 points behind him now and could conceivably take it off him tomorrow. Does anyone know how many points are on offer at the mountain top?

Indeed-Tomorrow someone is going to pay for today's effort....but who cares? this Giro is getting more exiting than everoncearunner said:What a fantastic stage. The Gazzetta dello Sport video stream is amazing as well. Evans looked really strong, I agree that Vino might have dug a tad too deep today. Tomorrow's stage will be telling I think.

Will be interesting to see how long he can hold this form for.
I expect him to run away with the giro.
Mollema finished together with Weening, surprisingly enough. Somewhere between 3 and 4 minutes back.Moondance said:Don't know exactly yet, but I think the commentary said he was now third in the youth classification. Obviously behind Porte, and probably Agnoli... Mean probably didn't lose much more than 6 minutes on Cadel... Else Bakelants would've overtaken him....
Not much comfort until we know the full results, but whatever.
Libertine Seguros said:There are only about two GC contenders left to throw out the window now, so I don't see how it'll be getting better. This should be as easy as taking candy from a baby for Evans now. Let Vino keep pink as long as possible, then wait for him to blow up.
This would have been an absolutely killer one-week race though.
agreed - BMC arent as strong as say Lotto or other teams but they are the only ones that are willing to pour their hearts out to work with and for Cadelauscyclefan94 said:new team also.

Libertine Seguros said:Points jersey, not GPM. The points are the same on every stage. 25, 20, 16, 14, 12 then 10 down to 1. It's only the Tour that biases things in favour of sprinters (35 for the winner in flat stages, 25 in intermediate stages, 20 in mountain stages and 15 in time trials)

karlboss said:Everyone seems to be saying that nibali should hav left basso, but i saw basso on front enough to think they were evenly trading turns.
Yes, certainly given the fact that he was apparently behind the split in the peloton.Moondance said:Decent result given the circumstances.
sublimit said:well i agree but TFF tried to pick a fight so i had to respond..
Jamsque said:Ah, OK, I assumed the Giro had less points on mountain finishes too.
