The thing is that they had an overnight transfer on a boat, so this time they have the excuse that someone just got seasick if he has a bad day after the rest day.

Yes, apparently they all took the plane, but 2 days ago the RAI commentators claimed that even the riders would travel on a boat, so I got things mixed up.

So, who 'trained' in the last while on Etna, has good logistics support, dropped a bag, did shiite in the next race, and now has a fresh local refill?

And whose transfusion goes bad, with a mysterious jours says at the start of a GT?

Don't worry they out a rest day before Etna. Must have been a busy evening in the hotels last night! :)

Lets see who all wore arm and leg warmers today.

Why does this keep coming up
Arm and leg warmers are completely irrelevant
Most of the drugs these guys would inject would be subcutaneous So they would go into the upper inner thigh or the stomach.
If you were to do a blood transfusion in a GT they would likely do it into a vein in the arm after which they would wear a plaster for all of an hour and you would never know after that- unless it was a complete butcher that left a bruise, and if they did it is more likely to be a drug tester taking blood than a skilled doctor or trained soigneur or team nurse, who would have given a lot of blood transfusions and would not be clumsy enough to leave a bruise.

It strikes me as very unlikely anyone would schedule a refill on a transfer day 4 days into the race. That hay is in the barn and the logistics work against it. But mostly the former.

Yeah, whoever has the best recovery "marginal gains" will be noticed after Tuesday's stage.

Not only that, but wasn't Contador's name mentioned in the Operacion Puerto documents? Should he have even ridden the 2007 tour?
Yes, his name was cleared, he was only mentioned in the team's training and race schedules.

As for the Giro, G the only Sky rider wearing long sleeves, right... maybe he just gets cold more easily because he's so skinny...

G wins the prize for rest day long sleeves

Guys he's just getting some tattoo's done, they're not finished yet and he doesn't want anyone to see them unfinished.

G must be on the 3-bag-riis-a-la-carte menu for his blood bags. Landa sticking with the 2-bag strategy.

If for no other reason, Geeeee should be banned for the hideous sunglasses alone.

Or forced to ride for Garmin.

Ouch. I think he'd rather be banned if those were his only options.

Kind of a toss-up as to which is more likely to kill a career.

Is Gazprom actually scared off by the peptides positives or are Foliforov & Firsanov saving themselves for the Alps?
