all the pros outright lie about their weight, some lack control consume/fat and others starve themselves - just as it should be

188cm - 77/78kg.

I don't have any problems climbing, although I struggle on really steep climbs, and I'm not really a sprinter either. 75kg would be perfect for me.

Got SFA in terms of body fat.

175cm and 60kg but regularly see 59kg flat. the mountains are my home!

I am the exact same height and weight. Weird. I love me some mountains too, but there aren't many here in central Illinois.

when I'm race fit:

Height:

1.82 or 1.83 (my pasport says 1.85 but that's with shoes on)

Weight:

68-69 kg

Unfortunately at the moment, I'm carrying a little bit of extra weight.
It's very embarrassing, but I wont lie about it. 79.2 kg this morning (after breakfast)
It will be 72 kg when we get to may (tried it before so I know what to do)

I'll start:
6'3"; 176 lbs - 1.90 m; 79.8 kg

Some pros from recent headlines (m; kg):

Boonen: 1.93; 82
Cancellara: 1.86; 80
Greipel: 1.84; 75
EBH: 1.81; 76
Chicchi: 1.78; 73
Machado: 1.78; 64
Contador: 1.76; 62
Nocentini: 1.73; 60

I love the difference between Chicchi and Machado. I slot in in the Boonen/Cancellara range (though I'm really more Ballan-esque). I'm curious to see how the rest of you shape up, especially the frequent posters.

Thanks for looking, you're now free to get back to the AC/LA threads. ;)

i didnt realise Boonen was that big. i have a similar height and weight to Grieple/Cancellara according to that but not as good. 183 c - 78 KG

you'll be crossing your fingers for the rest of your life. last months test showed some abnormalities, so a test in May tells me whether i descend back into hell again, or not.

just the way it is. got to hit my target weight of 142lbs again by April. It's all good

He is not that big, or if he is he stoops and not just on the bike.

I'm 6 foot three and 205 pounds, 14 stone 9.

I was 12 stone 13 in August and got sick and injured as well

I'm one of the consumers. Beer, mostly.

I'm also a little bit chubbier than my height & weight would suggest, but not nearly as large as my (American) football days (6'3"; 225 lbs). I actually used to climb alright, though, back when I lived somewhere that had any real, sustained climbs.

@ Krebs: Good God. I wanna see pics of your bike!

@ those undergoing treatment: I wish you all the best, and hope you come out of it stronger than before!

I haven't verified it in person, but I believe Wikipedia that Boonen is 6'3". Here he is with Schwarzenegger (6'1"-6'2", depending on source). There may be a podium step involved, but I don't think so:

I'm amazed , I saw him three times, all the same day, once very slow in Camden, next going down hill to Swiss Cottage , then on stage in podium mode after he beat all comers in the sprint, I never got the impression he was over 6 foot one. I tend to look huge on a bike but he really doesn't.

There was a guy who arrived quite a bit in front of everyone in Pro kit but it was a few years old, he looked very impressive for a guy who only started around the corner, I don't know which corner.

I will endeavour to eyeball Tom to turn the theory.

I look pretty big and awkward on a bike, too, and I'm (apparently) the same height as Boonen. Also, I think he rides a slightly altered 58cm, which is ridiculous. Puts a 140 stem on, or something.

But I think the grace he exhibits on the bike is one reason why he's a famous athlete out doing cocaine with 17 year-olds and our big goofy asses are lurking on teh interwebz.

But then again, maybe Schwarzenegger's not really 6'2". Body builders guard/inflate their height and weight more jealously than cyclists...

@krebs: that thing is gorgeous, but what's with the ray-gun shifters? ;)

EDIT: Why oh why did I post such a wide picture? I hate assholes that do that.

its not strange at all.......you are very similar to Vino, he is about 5'8 or 5'9 and comes in at around 150, a tad less when he is really fit, i happen to know because im also right in that range but i was able to get down to around 135-7 for racing, real low body fat then
