yes, he trained harder than everyone else, his record proves it, yes, he doped better than anyone else. destroying people that get in the way of your goals is not cool, but it isn't throwing under the bus either, two different things you are talking about.
I hate Lance, he is not a good person, he is not good for cycling, he is a coward, just like Landis, Hamilton, Levi, and the rest.
but he won 7 TdF's, and not in the non-attacking/wait for the TT way either.

I believe you.

Lance trained 26 hours a day, 8 days a week because he always gave it 110%.

That is what allowed him to dope better than anyone else.

BTW - on that attacking style thing, you might have him confused with someone else. How many green and polka dot jerseys did Lance win? What about the most aggressive rider? What about the white jersey?

He never gave gifts, right Ivan? And, once he took the yellow, he always held onto it, right? At least, other than in 2000, 2002, 2004 or 2005, right? And, he would never refuse to wear the yellow, would he?

Lance was such a great attacker, he would never sit behind a looong train of teammates, and allow himself to be protected on climbs, would he?

Nor would he slow down and wait for anyone if they happened to ride off the road, right?

Admittedly, it is hard to confirm any of these things since the records all indicate "Vacated" now.

And it looks like he's getting it.

Is there anythig he does that doesnt require discussion?

Lance's relevance has been reduced to trolling people on Strava and planting fake stories.

Winning!

Now this is really funny:

Bettini calls on Armstrong to confess

The notion that "...an eventual confession by the American could be the chance to cancel everything that happened in the past and start all over again..." would almost certainly be helpful to deflect attention from other competitors who rode at the same time.

Dave.

Bettini raced between 1997 and 2008, when EPO use was rampant in the peloton. He won numerous classics, two world titles in 2006 and 2007 and gold in the road race at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

Kind of the pot calling the kettle black.

LOL at that.

Armstrong being humiliated by his doping colleagues.

He also indicated his support for an truth & reconciliation commission and an amnesty for past dopers.

Looks like Bettini has something to confess but doesn't have the guts for it.

So, the Cecchini wonder wants the Ferrari wonder to confess? It really is a fun world this 'sport'.

Little note: the Cecchini wonder wants Max Sciandri as his successor, Max Sciandri of the 1 - 2 - 3 Luigi top three at the 1996 Olympics road 'race'.

A big smile here.

It is also wrong to suppose doping simply allows you to train harder. If doping increases your functional threshold power (for example), then you would need to train at a higher level to achieve the same training load (e.g., TSS) than you would not doping.

You are not only wrong, but are engaging in a line of intellectually dishonest discourse that I find astounding.

Your premise is based on what science, exactly? What studies can you quote that makes your assertion true?

Doping absolutely allows you to train harder, and thus a rider can become faster than someone who is carrying the same training load who is not doping.

You know this, you're just trying to be obtuse.

You're either crazy, or attempting to defend an agenda. Which one is it?

Yep, I almost spit up my beer when I read that. Unfortunately I didn't purchase la Repubblica today, now I'm wishing I had.

Either you are being facetious, or there is a 3rd option: you misunderstood his post and over-reacted (and insulted the poster) accordingly.

You can't dope all the people all the time, apparently.

From the post: "My experience may be limited by having raced solely for Jamis-Hagens Berman in its various incarnations for the entirety of my career..."

Apparently he should have tried racing for another UCI Continental team like Navigators, Bissell or Health Net. At least they had some real dopers.

No he didnt. He made the accurate point that the previous posters claims were nonsense of the highest order with no sound scientific backing. No overreaction just plain common sense......or maybe it wasnt common sense,he did reply after all.
