I do think its weird. That doesn't mean its suspicious. I am not one to bring clinic matters into this section of the forum.


Also weird means odd, stragnge. There is nothing odd about riders who dope. In fact it might be a very large number, so I don't see an odd development is necessary suspicious, especially considering that many caught dopers are good from a very young age.

Does anyone think the UCI is overstepping their boundaries by not allowing Valverde to appear at the presentation; citing his suspension? I thought they could only ban you from racing. They are really getting to a quasi-government level where sport governing bodies have no business.

That still doesn't explain the fanboyism here for him. He's quite boring as a cyclist. And even in stage racing he results to wheelsucking a lot. The fact you use the same examples every time to explain Valverde is not a wheelsucker doesn't really help either (you've made this post a few times before).

Valverde is a wheelsucker that relies on his sprint. Vinokourov is an attacker pur sang that can't rely on his sprint as evidenced in the way he won his 2 LBLs. Compare that to how Valverde won and you see how different these guys are. I really don't find them similar at all.

Using it to get on form for the Ardennes Classics, he states he already had 10,000 K's under his belt, not bad.

Well that's a poll and more on what will happen on his return, this is more for just his return and up and coming things. Didn't want to take away from the poll and past discussion on the "past". Its called the "Valverde comeback thread", its not a poll but a thread that has a poll as an addition, and the poll speculates as to what he will do next year.

The whole thread is looking to the future and rejoicing at his comeback. Absolutely no "looking to the past".

He had a great battle here the last time with evans and luis leon sanchez on the descent of willunga hill. This time i have a feeling he could go again as the finish on top of willunga will suit him.

I am fascinated to see what him can do in fleche wallonne, amstel gold and LBL.

He'll struggle at TDU. First race back from a 1.5 year ban will be hard.
