well CN has no credibility as a news source so i don't even bother with what they say anymore

All they do is reveal their hatred for Valverde, which the way i see it is picking the losing side.

It intensifies the pleasure we feel every time he wins, knowing they hate it.

And the best bit is theres no way back . Theyve already revealed their cards.

Yeah but at Mende we no no one out of the GC contenders can sprint against him ( even if they all follow him on the slopes ). Gerrans also dialled back a bit his form- as he believes it would suit him better for the Ardennes.

The top competition in my view includes Anton, Samu, Andy/ Frank ( not trying ) Vino, Gilbert and Evans- no one really else ( for the Ardennes though i hope others can come through ) and none of those were present here

I don't know why I even bother and read CN stage reports. That was from stage 4 of PN :

He was certainly strong in the Vuelta last year and IMO he looked the strongest on Fuente De

I believe that had he not crashed out of the 2006 Tour that he could have at minimum made the podium and at best won the overall. He was nearing his peak at that point but unfortunately had to pull out of both the 2005 (knee injury) and 2006 Tours.
