They showed pretty decent durability to be in position to contest the sprint. A lot of much bigger names got dropped or were clinging to the back of the front group. Who are they up against in the Herald Sun Tour? No Bennett or Ewan, obviously, which makes the sprints a lot more open.

Will be 4 WT teams - Mitchelton Scott, Sunweb, Trek and EF.

Apparently it was a strong move on the steepest part of the climb, riding the likes of Spratt and Wiles straight off the wheel.

Lippert looked great coming into the finish.

A crash with 25kms to go wiped out half the field - MS and Rally were left with one rider - In saying that thought Lippert was a big favorite for the race.

Interesting situation in CEGORR. Mitchelton forced quite a selection the penultimate time up the hill, and Ewan is isolated but there, while Viviani surprisingly also made the cut (and has Haas) while Bennett didn't. Our World Champion is also there in the 17-man group.

But if Yates smashes it up next time, it will be chaos.

Ugh, Deceuninck had one rider in the 17-man group, and still won... What does it take?

But congrats to Devenyns. His first victory on the WorldTour.

What's wrong with DQ winning?
Devenyns was one of the non-winners on the team, wasn't he? Nevermind, he wasn't.

Impey was really strong but unfortunately received the Sagan treatment. Sivakov and Devenyns took advantage of that.

Excellent race today - best edition so far. I thought it was Van Baarle's to lose, but everyone in the chase group except for Impey were pinned.

Devenyns was lucky Keukeleire and McCarthy wouldn't work with Impey to pull it back. This is becoming a worrying theme with McCarthy.
