Maybe he actually wanted kom points...?Came here to say the same thing. Seems like he might have thought the KOM line was the finish line since that was 200m before the actual finish line.
Good win for Onley & DSM - the fast and furious start to 2024 is on! Lemmen hanging on until the finish was good news for Visma, but at 28 years old he must feel ancient.According to ammattipyöräily on Twitter Onley, Williams and Narvaez set the fastest time ever on Willunga Hill (6'38").

there's a photo finish in the official results, with Strong ahead (red line added by myself):Strong was erroneously noted as second on stage 2 before Williams. The footage quite evidently showed that Williams was not overtaken before the line.
That mistake now costs Williams the leader's jersey.
In Lemmen's case his age is not that relevant. He probably has less experience than Isaac del ToroGood win for Onley & DSM - the fast and furious start to 2024 is on! Lemmen hanging on until the finish was good news for Visma, but at 28 years old he must feel ancient.
but at 28 years old he must feel ancient.
What do you think S. Yates is feeling then? Practically like a dinosaur?
Well at least he's stil 26 seconds younger than Adam.
– Simon was born first, five minutes ahead of Adam.

How to tell Adam and Simon Yates apart
Last week we looked at how to tell Germany’s top male cyclists apart. In some ways that was an easy task -- Pascal Ackermann, Max Schachmann and Emanuelvelo.outsideonline.com
Please put me at ease, and tell me his leg has been put back on ok?Mollema,Chris Harper and Ulissi all together and not far back. Hope that a good sign for Trek..Quinn Simmons had one leg fall off.. can't win them all
I found it in this other Velo article (they call me the Velo Man, btw), so I'm right!
But Simon must really feel like an old dinosaur, if he's indeed 5 minutes older than Adam.

probably this one?!The photo finish equipment must have been placed un a wrong position then. Unfortunately, I cannot find the Twitter pic I saw a couple of days ago but it showed something else than this.
And yes, I know that officially, it's the photo finish shot that decides but that just doesn't feel right when the riders have no chance of knowing where that is if it isn't positioned correctly.
Yes.probably this one?!

Personally I would think the photo finish camera is more likely to be set up correctly than this one, but sure, who knows.
Jason Osborne had to abandon the race today because no one stopped to give him a new bike after a crash
