I knew it. On Sagan's personal website (http://www.saganpeter.com/en/about) it says:
"favorites:
Meal: pizza and steak"

Also suspicious, in 2010, after stomach problems, Sagan twitters about the incapacity of his Italian team-doctors, then complains about twitter-identity-theft.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/peter-sagan-hit-by-twitter-identity-theft
so from this we know he's a capable liar, which is a primary condition for becoming a successful juicer.

p.s. @ caruut / hrotha /mewmew, in case you missed it: ;)

After the TOC time trial perhaps the question is "what should Sagan be on".:D

maybe you havent watched much of the tour of california this year, it is actually quite like a 'tour', just riding around having a look at the scenery

the local mechanics are racing hard but the real pros are not, they are having a holiday

You bolded the wrong word there. We all know that steak is just his way of prepping the grounds for a doping excuse.

Note that Sagan speaks really fluent italian. Near-natively I'd say.
He definitely could not have acquired that level of competence in the two years he's been with Liquigas.
Wonder what contacts he had in Italy before turning a pro.

Anyway, Sagan has everything: talent, looks.
I don't expect this guy to get popped any day soon, at least if Pat has anything to say about it.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but his italian accent remember me of Robocop.
Not remotely near to natively.

well, perhaps you might like it off with JV who talked about heads growing.

Not a jawline per se, not a simian brow per se. But a change.

salient term, is change.

this aint phrenology and eugenics innit.

read the sources I linked to. Ask WD-40 if I an reasonable or not. Because he/she comes from a pro-athlete sector, and belief in their natural justice and giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Why would Sagan bust his azz in that TT? That result means nothing.

But, I have learned from this thread that Sagan must be a nice guy since he is defended so aggressively. Now all he needs to do is pick a fight with LA and he will be coated with clinic teflon.

True though, that in cycling you have to check yourself when you think: "wow he's a freak of nature". Likelihood is nature 's being given a little, or a lot of, assistance.

Why does one assume, particularly when they have no comprehension of what real talent and genetics a person is born with, other than typical inane comments like the above on an internet forum, that one is assumed a doper?

Because you are an inferior physical human being in every respect compared to others, doesn't me they are doped. Deal with the fact you are nothing in respects to the physical and biological nature of some people, and you will live a better live.

But you must be an American Democratic, or European socialist who thinks that by tearing others down, it makes you feel better about yourself and failures in life and hand you were dealt.

when olympic sports are determined by the 1/000th of a point, yet that dope pending the sport, lets say, Queen stage of a GT, can increase the power 15-20%.

your genetics buy into the phrenology bunkum you taunted me for.

I merely said "change". I said frontal bossing, acromegaly. Vaughters said "head grow". Dont see you criticising that.

Historical data.

I'll let you state it as you did it so well...

Yeah, those evil excellence-hating socialists. LOL.

I should add here that I don't have an opinion on Sagan in particular.

OK I admit I just hate excellence.

I think you're on an political rant here that has little to do with cycling. On topic, do you view e.g. Ricco as purely an exceptional physical specimen? When you see unbelieveably strong performances, you have to at least consider that they're just that...

...Any other course of action is simply naive.

I'd add that I only posted in this thread in an attempt at even-handedness, because I'm so reluctant to scrutinise Sagan, who is just so impressive in what he does on a bike. I don't want to maintain any illusions about the riders I like.

edit - to be fair though, many of Sagan's impressive performances have been down to speed and technical skill, which shouldn't arouse suspicion.
