Thank god. No win for Valverde.

Boring race. Really disappointed by all the top riders today. No attacks in Berbenno. Only Wellens in Bergamo Alta. The only good thing today was that Valverde didn't win.

Sure, everyone looked at each other, but let's bash on Valverde...

Nice ride by Costa, rode a lot in the front and was crucial so that the first group could stay away.

Nice win by Dan Martin, deserved winner and a great race.

Not only Valverde didn't respond, no one did... but...given the clear talent he has, Valverde sometimes makes it difficult for me to be his fan.

Valverde is such an idiot that its unreal
It's amazing how this guy let two straight races get away from him because of his wheelsucking mentality.

Grats to Martin! I was certain Valverde had this, but when Martin jumped "too soon" and everyone hit the brakes... Lol.

What were BMC doing?

Busy being useless as usual, I hope Sanchez gets fired/"not renewed", crap season, whining about WC selection, and now this ?!

Valverde denied :D awesome

but he beat Contador so he's probably happy, because that's what his goal is usually.

Well it was Valverde's to lose. He lead them for the last 300m and still won the sprint for 2nd comfortably. He over-estimated what Gilbert had left - awful tactics.

I don't think the criticism of the course stands up. Any race where you've Albasini and Gilbert up front alongside pure climbers is pretty well balanced.

Great race from Costa, going after lots of moves (Gilbert, Sanchez and Wellens) and still has the legs to go for the podium. I'm happy for him!

Also for Martin who didn't crash today, seriously good from him. He can focus on Roubai now :D

Reminded my of Montréal where he did most attacks on the last lap and still managed to finish second behind Gerrans. Too bad he had a bad day in Ponferrada.

Guy gets very aggressive in the smaller races. In the biggest races, however, he seems to just retreat into his shell completely.

One has to wonder... how much money did JV offer Valverde to do this?:eek::eek:

Most random monument winner in years lol

Most random?
Aside from the fact this same guy won Liege, are you forgetting Zaugg?
