2nd favorite not even bothering shows you the state of cycling more so than Roglic not racing.
He wanted to apparently, but was Ineos'd. More drama.

Yup, team decision. Politics. Maybe a hint about how their relationship is atm -> not good.He wanted to apparently, but was Ineos'd. More drama.
he's raced in a number of events since and even since the q36 rumour came out. Seems pretty petty and unprofesional of the team to do it now in what will likely be his last race for the team. It's not like they need a result is it? rumour he's been fired, but agent says no reason given for deselection. The final nail in the coffin for an awful team.Pidcock recently said something about the situation in the team making it more difficult for him to perform. I think this is the effect, probably it's the team's decision.
He's already started doing that at Manchester United. Making everyone go back in the office. A lad who went to uni with my sister was part of their Graphics team. He worked remotely and did even pre Covid. He's been told he's got to into the office despite living in Yorkshire. He's told them no as his contract says he can work at home. Sir Brexit said nope, that's wrong he's in. So he handed in his notice and got a job at Chelsea earning more LOL.Upside to Radcliffe trashing British sporting institutions (sans sailing, apparently) is that at least he's doing the decent thing and taking United with him.
Yeah it was an obvious attempt to force as many out without paying severance that one. I'm sure getting rid of half the backroom staff will look good on Jim's balance sheet but he's already knocking down fences without knowing why they were put up in the first place, recipe for disaster. Not sure Ineos are long for cycling given they are only handing out 2 year contracts at the moment, perhaps Vino and the Chinese will be in the market for a WT licence soon enough. He's already started doing that at Manchester United. Are you a Hayter?Clear why pidcock was not included, they simply can't fit him in this superteam

Ethan Hayter's about to pull one out of the bag after we've spent the last year laughing at his positioning and his general disinterest in random one-weekers.Clear why pidcock was not included, they simply can't fit him in this superteam

Legendary climbers Ben Swift and Ben Turner?? This team is not only bad, it also doesn‘t fit a parcours with a decisive 30 minute climb.Clear why pidcock was not included, they simply can't fit him in this superteam

I think tomorrow is too hard to call. I'm not sure if it's going to be fun. Maybe if we could get an ace reporter with the depth of understanding of Ron Burgundy, it could be fun. Either @SafeBet or @Ilmaestro99 would fit the bill. Not sure if either is going to be at the race but if so it would be fun going over to our man on the ground.
I'll be at the start for some interviews but not on the route unfortunately.I think tomorrow is too hard to call. I'm not sure if it's going to be fun. You made me wonder whether I came up with that nickname. Turns out I only resurrected it:maybe launching the Pogster
I don't think I'd read your post from last year, when I started calling him the Pogster @RipperSo ...
We have a revitalized, healthy, extra terrestrial van der Poel absolutely smashing people since Milan San Remo. Pretty sure his acceleration numbers are alien and he certainly is destroying people. Then the Pogster absolutely spanks him on the terrain he really should be the most dominant on, Flanders.
All this to say, it's been an enjoyable classics season to watch for the pure spectacle. The racing has been quite interesting. But the performances are really quite laughable, and I really can't get excited by the Pogster, because it's just excessive and silly.
LOL! I am sure I regurgitated it from somewhere What's old is newYou made me wonder whether I came up with that nickname. Turns out I only resurrected it:

Strange...
Enjoy! Will be glad to hear any tidbits you pick up at the start.I'll be at the start for some interviews but not on the route unfortunately.
I'll let you know if anything interesting is said at the start.
Ben Healy needs to, as Sean Kelly would say, "keep his powder dry", but that's hard to do when you don't know when Pog will attack and explode the race.I am not watching the race as otherwise engaged
Wonder who will be second ...love it to be Ben Healy but Im guessing he will attack too early as per
Skujins,Tiberi , Bardet and Masnada should be up there for the battle for podium
