That's about the only thing of his she'd be straddling...

Lance gets indicted; you start posting images again. K?![]()

BotanyBay said:I guess I no longer have to worry about Westermeyer spanking me for sexist images anymore, being that the new "From Around the Web" ads are often far more sexist than anything I ever posted. I just saw an ad with an illustration that showed two people "getting familiar" and the text reads "Learn how to join the mile-high club".
I love having Lance's "people" plastering the message boards with subterfuge. I love it when my email gets hacked and deleted. Why? Because I know that every instance is bleeding his dwindling bank account dry (little by little).
Hey Lance, no visit to TDU this year? I thought you just liked to "swing by" Australia (just like you "swung-by" New Zealand to see the bike shop you bought for TexPat) south of the Equator.

"Love him or hate him, Lance changed things. I lost 25 pounds using that free Livestrong Calorie counter app. and have kept it off biking. People are fighting cancer now and thinking about healthier lifestyles as a result of Livestrong. USAPCC, great. Past of doping in Cycling, wake up people, mostly clean now but come on. Drug test football and see what happens. One article gonna make me cancel a subscription? Ha, drop the drama and get real. No Love, Hate or Incentives here. "

One observation - I did a search of some key words in the comments section here is how often some words were metioned:
Livestrong - 131
Cancer - 110
Research - 76
Charity - 18
Awareness - 16
LAF - 3
Lance Armstrong Foundation - 0
Livestrong is a brand, not a charity - one from which Armstrong financialy benefits, yet even the 'fans' cannot work out that the charity is the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Benotti69 said:And that shows just what we are dealing with, it is not a charity they are pushing, they are pushing a product for making money on the back of cancer and that is disgusting.
Who are the owners of Brand Live$trong?
Polish said:It is not disgusting, Benotti69 - it is commendable.
Seriously.
If Greg Lemond changed the focus and name of his exercise bike company to "Pedal1in6" that would NOT be disgusting.
If Greg donated a similiar portion of his revenues to 1in6 - commendable.
If Greg became an outspoken spokeman for 1in6 - commendable.
Raise awareness of 1in6. Grow the foundation - commendable commendable.
1in6 Charity Rides - commendable
Greg is wealthier than Lance. Has as much spare time as Lance.
1in6 is a great foundation. 1in6 would benefit greatly.
Not disgusting. Commendable.
Scott SoCal said:Curious... How does one measure "raising awareness"?
How does one know if they are being effective "raising awareness"?
I'm currently raising awareness of just how good Double Chocolate Porter is on cold evenings, but I can't figure out how to measure how effective I have been.
Polish said:Did you know that 1in6 men suffered abuse?
That is probably more than have suffered from cancer.
If there were 1in6 wristbands and 1in6 charity rides - you would be more aware. Great Foundation 1in6.
Livestrong just celebrated their 15 year anniversary.
And 1in6 just celebrated their 5 year anniversary.
Both great foundations.

BroDeal said:If Armstrong's bank account balance goes up from more speaking engagements then Livestrong has raised awareness.
Cloxxki said:Did some juicy stories leak from there then, other than Floyd's little mormon boy in the big bad city recounts of events? I must have missed that.
Scott SoCal said:And that is why LAF changed from funding research to "raising awareness", but then most already know this.
ultimobici said:Changed? It was always about awareness. No funds have been ploughed into research into a cure at all.
