Tailwind?

Only the biggest since record keeping started. Those who are experts in wind, have suggested that mountains in France will have some of the fastest tailwinds ever recorded next month.

Could have something to do with the wind that Verdruggen is breaking right now.

Nope.

Why not? He was fairly new to road racing and he had no spectacular results in 2005. What is the evidence?

Met with Dr. Ferrari from 2000.

I thought that was only to see if he was good enough for the road...? /sarcasm

trick question innit?

is the "new clean era" over?

paradox, is an era over if it never began?

However dirty things were in the early blood passport era, things are definitely dirtier now.

There's obviously a very nuanced spectrum between Clean and Dirty, rather like there is between Left and Right (you never really get pure 100% communism or pure 100% capitalism).

But I would agree with the proposition that the peloton edged left (aka towards clean) and then edged right (aka towards dirty)....and is now sliding immutably into some kind of very right-wing hyper capitalist fascism.

Exactly this.
The notion that things never change at all is wrong, but more to the point, it's not very useful.
