I think any chance of Almeida losing will only come if some guys a touch lower down go early and he ends up isolated. Unfortunately Schachmann is clinging on for dear life, Welder would be happy fighting for a podium, Lipowitz couldn't knock the skin off a custard and if I wasn't reading the forum I wouldn't even know Skjelmose was here. (Maybe not fully recovered from his injury)

Wilco is about to risk it all, Valter and Kuss up the road early.

Stage 6: Eibar - Eibar, 153.6 km

168 riders are scheduled to start the race, but there can only be one winner. That man will be crowned in the streets of Eibar and forever be cycling royalty.

The next section will be ridden twice during the stage. First they'll climb Trabakua

A 3 km descent is followed by a 10% 700m climb to Mallabia. Then comes a short descent followed by the last 1 km to the top of Alto de Areitio (the middle section on the profile below. The climb to Mallabia is not the one being displayed)

Now it's time for a copy of the final of stage 4, but with a different ascent of Izua

Then they'll climb Trabakua once more

And do the 3 km descent which is followed by a 10% 700m climb to Mallabia. Then comes a short descent followed by the last 1 km to the top of Alto de Areitio (the middle section on the profile below. The climb to Mallabia is not the one being displayed)

The last 10 km includes a bit of climbing, too, as you would expect, before this year's Itzulia will conclude at the line in Eibar.

Riders between 9th and 20th should hit the break:

I'm sick of it even if it's my favourite rider.
I'm not sick of the solos. I'm sick of whoever is coming behind needing about 5 seconds of careful consideration to come to the conclusion that it's best to ride for second place.

Ben Hilly is a classy rider.
That uptempo trumpet tune probably blasting in his earpiece in order to go double speed.

When will be the earliest available stream?
Eurosport is on at 15:30 (CET) and I would like to see Krabelin...if the broadcast even starts this early.

Mas and Buitrago should light it up from far out but unfortunately most of the rest of the top twenty are just happy to be where they are.

Does anyone know what happened? It looked like Santiago's legs froze up halfway through the climb. That was the strangest thing.
in the pre-stage interview today, Buitrago said that he is happy with his shape, but suffering a bit from allergies this week. Tejada said the same on Thursday, so it seems to affect some.
