he doesn't have a contract for next year for now, and he hasn't contributed much for the team this year. since the future of the team right now is very promising, i guess that they can extend him for another year, unless they will do more signing then their max allowed riders (like they did last year).
idk, he looked like he did a lot of work in their battle for positions, he went in the late break on the gravel stage, which helped his TM in the original break. So he has definitely contributed, even if less flashy than in 2014. But yeah his only top 10 this year was in the KoM of the 56th Tour des Alpes-Maritimes(2.1), so they wouldn't loose many points directly by letting him go.

If you know, you know

he is currently 38 on gc, so if he will hold on to this place , his UCI points will even count for the team ranking...

A 6th place for the 40-year-old in the Tour of the Alps. That's nice. Not enough to score a single UCI point though. He got a couple via the GC.

It would be amazing if he could get a top result this year, maybe just in a small race. But I'm afraid even Tour of Denmark is ridden too aggressively to leave him with a good chance.

From Danish TV2 this evening:

"One of Fuglsang's best periods in his career came in 2019, when he finished third in Amstel Gold Race, second in Flèche Wallone and then won Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

He has repeatedly expressed a desire to have those legs again, but that's no longer the case.

‘I think that dream is long gone. It's not even certain that those legs from back then could do much against Pogacar and Evenepoel,’ he says with a laugh."
