João Almeida - Bota Lume

He's back on his bike, together with another UAE rider with a mustache. (had added riding video on Facebook moments or whatever they're called. Those updates that lasts one day. He's always very active there.)

It was good that he left, but how annoying he had to get sick in the first place.
Lost a change for another podium and potentially the win. Hopefully he has no issues in the Giro next year. I wonder why he gets sick easily.

He hasn’t been sick with Covid only though, but he seems to get Covid a lot even if UAE doesn’t care.
At this point it's starting to be ridiculous because obviously something with Almeida is different. He does get sick lot more than the average GC rider and they take zero precaution. I guess they just don't care whatsoever since they're the best team anyway.

Makes me angry.

Almeida can win some one-week races and finish on the podium in the Tour riding as a super-dom. That would be a pretty good season for him.
But it wouldn't be the extreme improvement Mou suggests. To improve as much as Pog improved 23-24 would mean he'd compete with Jonas for silver in tdf. Basically being above Rogla and Remco.

Even if Almeida wins Tirreno and Dauphine or whatever other prestigious one week race the hierarchy would be upside down if Ayuso gets gt leadership while Almeida wouldn't.

It is just speculation. We dont know anything, lol

I was just saying that winning a few big and prestigious one-week races while riding as a super-dom in the Tour, with a chance to finish on the podium, would still be an improvement for him.

You have to look at the improvement relative to Almeida.

Even if he takes a leap, it might not mean what you are thinking or assuming regarding the others.

Nor do we know anything about the hierarchy and plans that are made up before the season anyway, but if Almeida is outperforming Ayuso by some margin... then that will likely become a hot topic. We dont know yet though.
