Auto immunity?Lost a change for another podium and potentially the win. Hopefully he has no issues in the Giro next year. I wonder why he gets sick easily.
Isn't that the most common reason to easily getting sick?

Could be that but also a lot of other reasons might be the culprit. I would think if that was the reason the team would take more precautions around him to try and prevent it from occurring. Could also be the stress from leading and fatigue accumulated over racing.Auto immunity?

He hasn’t been sick with Covid only though, but he seems to get Covid a lot even if UAE doesn’t care.UAE doesn't care about covid. It's not an Almeida issue.
At this point it's starting to be ridiculous because obviously something with Almeida is different. He does get sick lot more than the average GC rider and they take zero precaution. I guess they just don't care whatsoever since they're the best team anyway. He hasn’t been sick with Covid only though, but he seems to get Covid a lot even if UAE doesn’t care.
The rider could do a check-up too.At this point it's starting to be ridiculous because obviously something with Almeida is different. He does get sick lot more than the average GC rider and they take zero precaution. I guess they just don't care whatsoever since they're the best team anyway.
Makes me angry.
Giro 2022?When did he get sick and it was not covid?
Last Vuelta, earlier this year, and I think 2021.When did he get sick and it was not covid?
Giro he had Covid.Giro 2022?
Oh lord, I'm getting excited! Vamos João!
If this is true then he should return to the Giro given that Pogi will probably ride Tour-Vuelta.
Almeida can win some one-week races and finish on the podium in the Tour riding as a super-dom. That would be a pretty good season for him.But what will he get from improving that much if he's going with Pogi anyway?
Apparently Ayuso will do giro alone?
But it wouldn't be the extreme improvement Mou suggests. To improve as much as Pog improved 23-24 would mean he'd compete with Jonas for silver in tdf. Basically being above Rogla and Remco.Almeida can win some one-week races and finish on the podium in the Tour riding as a super-dom. That would be a pretty good season for him.
It is just speculation. We dont know anything, lolBut it wouldn't be the extreme improvement Mou suggests. To improve as much as Pog improved 23-24 would mean he'd compete with Jonas for silver in tdf. Basically being above Rogla and Remco.
Even if Almeida wins Tirreno and Dauphine or whatever other prestigious one week race the hierarchy would be upside down if Ayuso gets gt leadership while Almeida wouldn't.
Nobody saying he is content.I don't see how Almeida doesn't get a chance to ride a GT for himself (even as a co-leader with Ayuso) especially if he's improved. Don't know why he would be content to go for "small" one week stage races while Ayuso gets to lead a GT himself.
