Great super domestique for Pogacar, hope he keeps pushing Ayuso to do his job. UAE might shrug this off, but it's clear that there are issues.

Intra-team rivalry and politics is a pretty standard feature of teams packed with strong, ambitious riders - all part of the fun. Last year Yates picked up a podium while riding for Pogi, and would have been their plan B if something had happened to him. I'm sure both Almeida and Ayuso would quite like to be that guy this year, if possible, and who knows what sort of 'let the road decide' arrangement the management have come up with. But so far it seems Ayuso is pretty good at playing the game of hanging back, 'on the limit' and not doing too much work, yet he ended up leaving Almeida behind and finishing with Rog and Remco. Almeida could have had a quiet word on the radio but instead called him out in as public a fashion as possible at the time, which puts some pressure on him as well as the team when it comes to keeping him in line.I don't think Almeida complaining about Ayuso or rain is that different in regards to how he looks. When he's overwhelmed he's overwhelmed. Not that unsimimilar to Remco honestly.
Yes there is a reason, they might have to save their powers for Pog service. There really is no reason why both almeida and Ayuso can’t go eyeballs out in the time trial to see who is strongest and last in line before pogi
I think they have plenty of recovery time around that itt. And the last ittView: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nyOA-VtQ66Q
Almeida starts talking after the tactics. It seems he doesn't agree "but I think that..." and then his voice is drowned in loud music. Also clearly he and Pog seems to be in some sort of agreement here as Almeida looks at Pog before talking and Pog talks simultaneously.
The idea of Almeida as quiet and timid computes just as well as the idea of Jonas as quiet and timid 😁

Only reason would be for Almeida not to make Ayuso cry when he ends up third best on the team. There really is no reason why both almeida and Ayuso can’t go eyeballs out in the time trial to see who is strongest and last in line before pogi
Against Ayuso, Joao Almeida is a portuguese Serra da Estrela.Patrick Broe saying Almeida is a Portuguese water spaniel https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Portuguese+water+spaniel&t=brave&iax=images&ia=images
Too funny and very on point with his eyes and hair 🤣
Until this moment, I don't see where is Ayuso a better climber than Almeida.Ayuso is probably the better climber of the two, but I have the impression Almeida is actually the stronger allrounder.

What a clown headline... Maybe Paula Perez (whoever she is), should look a little more deeper into the riding of a certain Spaniard.Least unhinged Spanish media headline
He is disappointed for not having better legs to help Pogacar. In his mind, he was supposed to be better than the level he has shown this weekendIs he enjoying the race? Both of the last two days he was caught by Anders Mielke right after the finish and in both instances he seemed rather subdued. Not really the mood for a teammate to the guy who just crushed the field on both stages.
