86 days before the Tour: Crash, broken ribs and punctured lung, hospitalisation in ICU.
74 days before the Tour: Leaves hospital.
61 days before the Tour: First day on a home-trainer.
53 days before the Tour: First day training outside in Denmark.
41 days before the Tour: First day training in Mallorca.

Normally, I guess the post-Dauphiné altitude camp begins 19 days before the Tour.

I doubt he started so later in the home trainer.

He should say he's still in a wheelchair as long as possible and then show up at the Tour to crush it.

Yeah, like Rafa before Roland Garros:

Say he starts the Tour. Would the lack of preparation mean that he can ride himself into shape or the opposite because he did not have sufficient preparation for a three week race. If it's the former, he struggles in week 1 but gets close to his best in week 3, we could be in for a very spectacular Tour. But while that seems kind of intuitive I have no idea if sport science backs it up.

GT is not a controllable training. It's hard to ride oneself into form with attacks from all directions: Teddy, Rogla and Remco won't just wait until Vingo gets better, actually the opposite will be true.

Roglic in in the last 300 meters of every mountain top finish, trying to finish once and for all Vingegaard, until he get's better.(just a joke)
