Gone are the days when CN was a cycling forum.
It's full of doctors now.
Time to rename it to medical community forum or something 😄?

The Clinic?

That’s turned into a science fiction writers workshop
The only time I went there to that place in the words of Obi Wan "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" As an allegory but my visit was an aside where I was mentioned with my user man @-ed. LOL

He is skipping Catalunya. Probably won't see him until Dauphine
Completely fair to skip Volta Cat., but I find it very disappointing if goes missing for 3 months.

I don't see why contusions to one hand is keeping him from racing for that kinda period. Let's hope for romandie or dear-I-say-it the ardennes? Imagine if Pog, Remco and Jonas are doing Amstel, Fleche and LBL:sweetpotato:

They dont want to take any risks at all with him, given last year.

Maybe just train, do altitude. More family time. Then race Dauphine and Tour. I guess it would still be a better preparation than last season when he did his best numbers.

Maybe dont want to go to Basque again and Romandie could make sense instead. Just for the race days.

I see what you are saying, but I don't see how crashing last year should impact his race program this year?

And, it's also a risk not to race him - if he crashes out badly at, say, dauphine, then they (V-LAB) got zero return on their biggest investment all year.

I agree with you on that but Vinge seems like he has to be managed pretty carefully. It is probably more of a personal and individual thing. Crashes and things not going to plan doesnt seem to be something he takes lightly.

You're right. Hard to know from a distance of course. I really hope to see him race before dauphine though as so much of the best racing happen in the coming period.

Very disappointed that Jonas will miss Catalunya. He will probably do Itzulia now which I see no sense in doing. He has already won it and the profile is worse than Catalunya for a GT preparation. IMO the crash from Paris-Nice is just an excuse. His hand injury is not that serious and he can always ride with hand and wrist support.
The real reason why Visma won't send him to Catalunya is because Jonas' level currently is far below his standarts and they don't want to see him pummeled by Roglic and Ayuso. I'm dead serious about this.
