It will be interesting to see Vingegaard and Pogacar face off in the Dauphiné. Let's see if either of them is able to keep their powder dry, or if they already destroy each other before the Tour even starts.
Nah, Pogacar can't contain himself. Vingegaard will not want to lose too. Vingegaard is almost in top condition in Dauphiné, being dropped would mean a loss in the Tour IMHO.

I am surprised to see Algarve on Vingegaard's schedule, I thought that he would start the season on Paris Nice.

It also seems that wants to win all the 7 major one week stage races, he already has 3 of them and with Paris Nice and Catalunya he should get to 5.

By riding both Tour and Vuelta he has also a good chance of winning one GT this season even if he jeoprdises his chances in the Worlds which were never many to begin with.
That was my take on the schedule as well. Looks like a palmares builder of trying to be first to complete the big 7 one week races.

Not the worst schedule although all stage races is somewhat dull but at least there are two early season head to heads with Roglic and then Dauphine against Tadej.

on an Italian forum ppl are blaming Vingo for not trying to win Fleche, Liege, Lombardia, or the Giro.
the guy didn't even know what color the leader jersey of the race he was racing was (Tirreno) I bet he can't name all the 5 monuments, I think he hasn't even watched some races on tv.
he does not care about the prestige of Fleche or Lombardia. he sticks to the program and is in his own world. he probably learnt the TDF is in July cause he saw the date at the airport while flying home after racing it.
and I like it. I like his way.

People want him to be Pogacar. Pogi will always be more popular, he's more easy going, he has created this happy-go-lucky persona that the media and fans love. Vingegaard doesn't care about all that stuff, he just keeps plugging along. I like that, some people think he's boring, I also get that. But to keep demanding him to be someone he's not is disrespectful. IMHO.

Once again zero one day races, this guy just lacks what Remco told everyone during the Tour..Anyway whatever its obv why, but cant blame him to much, most likely wouldnt be top 5 but would still be nice to take it on.

Tour is no surprise everyone knew that, the Vuelta I hope he really does it as it was also the plan last year.

Overall everything was what everyone knew or expected, the basic boring thing (he does whats best for him, in reality its nothing wrong with that) I really hope for him that he at least does the WC RR, he has nothing to lose from it and can only gain respect and surprise.

Remco just wants to be part of the cool kids club with Pogacar. It's not a lack of cojones to not do races that don't suit you. It's simply smart. To accuse him of a lack of guts in last year's Tour is especially ridiculous, the guy was barely fit to race let alone do any attacking. He was basically holding on for dear life.

Maybe it gave some of that vibes during the Tour but whatever i didnt mean it seriously.
Let me just clarify I wanted him to do some one day races like many and that he dares to take em on, I certaintly dont believe he lack cojones, on the contrary.

I also said its nothing wrong with doing whats best for him(suit him the most in reality). Anyway overall as expected for everyone I think, I personally really hope he at least goes to the WC and prove many wrong, he has nothing to lose and can only gain respect from it, imo.

Same goes for Vuelta, want him as other top riders in as many races as possible.

the fact is he does not care, does not want respect, does not see the sport as we do. he sticks to a plan and gets his tunnel-vision and rides on.

Nothing wrong with that as I also said that he sticks to what suits him the most in reality, for the other part is not entirely true or maybe it is but not the part about one day races, he has said on several occasions he would like to try something in one day races and also this years WC so I hope for that. Lets see what happens, he got nothing to lose.

The Paris-Nice route suits him better, 1-2 is likely with Jorgenson against merely Almeida.
Matteo  will ride Tirreno
Sure? I really doubt that.
Why do you doubt it? Wouldn't it make sense to give him his own shot?
No, Jorgenson will also ride Paris-Nice.
No he isn’t.
Jorgenson will ride Paris—Nice together with Vingegaard (Dauphiné too).

A rider who dominated Pais Vasco, won stage 11 of 2024 Tour, dropped everyone on Marie Blanque in 2023 Tour can definitely contend in Lombardia.
