In a sense, why not? But I think it only makes sense to extend spring if it's for more than a single race day.Fleche Wallone, yay or nay?

I'm a fan of starting later, doing February a bit more chill, then Tirreno, Itzulia, Fleche and Liege. In a sense, why not? But I think it only makes sense to extend spring if it's for more than a single race day.
He is a comfortist, so it's not easy to judge his answers in an interview where we don't hear the questions. For Vingegaard it matters, according to his recent words. He wants to complete the GT set and I think Giro next year is likely.
Vingo cane in a bit tired, I think, because he wasn't emphatic in this Vuelta.
But Jonas wants the Giro so he will probably have it next year.I expect them to "in the end realise that you can control the preparation for the Tour better by not doing the Giro but going on a training camp instead" at some point during the winter.
I think both he and they already realise, and that his answers when asked about the Giro is his agreeable nature showing.I expect them to "in the end realise that you can control the preparation for the Tour better by not doing the Giro but going on a training camp instead" at some point during the winter.

Yea, I saw that after I posted, but being tired can lead to weakness in the immune system, which skinny, over-worked cyclists are suseptible to. It's funny, you can rev the engine for months without getting sick, but then it hits all of the sudden.Just one post about you it's explained how he was sick the second half of the race...
Everyone has an interest in the Giro in September, question is who still has it in January.I think both he and they already realise, and that his answers when asked about the Giro is his agreeable nature showing.
Jonas couldn't care less who shows up knowing Pogi won't race the Giro.Everyone has an interest in the Giro in September, question is who still has it in January.

But winning the Giro also matters. I get what you are saying but even you said he doesn't have s great chance of winning the Tour against Pogacar. Why not win the Giro and be more relaxed to the Tour?I don't think "new" wins matter. Best possible chance to win the Tour matters. As good chance as possible to win another GT conditional on that is the second highest priority. Of tertiary targets, the main spring stage races least compromise his main targets.

I fear that you are right, but I cannot imagine the opposition next year to be Dani Martinez and Zombie Thomas. After two Tour defeats Pogacar tried the Giro. Maybe Vingegaard, after two defeats, will do the same next year.

His interview was very telling. He will race the Giro sooner than later. After two Tour defeats Pogacar tried the Giro. Maybe Vingegaard, after two defeats, will do the same next year.
I suppose it might depend whether he/ the team actually think he has a shot against Pogacar at the Tour. I know at the moment they seem fairly far apart, but I'm always conscious that I thought the same, but in favour of Vingegaard, after the 2023 Tour. But winning the Giro also matters. 20 stage foreign start in Italy with Fedaia every dayI don't even know what a great Hindley Vuelta route even looks like.
Visma are not letting go of their biggest and only Dutch star (Kooij) to then do a Tour without Vingegaard.I suppose it might depend whether he/ the team actually think he has a shot against Pogacar at the Tour.
