Interesting. Assume buried deep on the UCI website?

Looking forward to Brailsford blaming Endura. Suspension to end November 2014, loses World Championship result. Which was with British Cycling.

Although says Dec 2015.
The UCI updated its anti-doping violations list today, adding the British rider's name without fanfare.

Trying to slip dopers onto the UCI site without anyone noticing is the new transparency.

Well, at least we have some more evidence of sky/brits doping.

Brits do dope and his result from the WC was disqualified. When riding for a Brailsford

I'm sure Walsh will blame him prior to Sky but the disqualification is for the WCs.

JTL knew this was coming. He sold all his Sky stuff on eblag long time ago.

Expect Sky to try and distance themselves from JTL and Walsh to assist them do that.

Sorry, I forgot that Cookson needs more time.

Of course, silly me.

(Still, shouldn't they have stripped him of his, huh, 2013 51st placing in the Volta ao Algarve and stuff?)

I think the only results prior to the ban period that they strip are those that indicate doping. In JTL's case the ban period is 31.12.2013-31.12.2015, and they busted him on the values from ToB and WC, so only those two races and races within the ban period (in case it's a backdated ban) will be stripped.

At least that's my take on it.

Sky are clean. Nothing to see here.

Sir Dave Brailsford, Team Principal of Team Sky, said: “Jonathan’s contract has been terminated today.

“Whilst there have been no doubts about his time with us, his doping violation - from readings taken before he joined this team - means there’s no place for him in Team Sky.

“We’ve a well-known stance on anti-doping and our action is the inevitable outcome of a violation.

“This is a team that trains, races and wins clean.”

It is hardly an announcement or transparent.

Cookson has failed his pre-election promises and we all know in politics how that plays out. Cookson has shown himself to be nothing new in the sport.

Posting stuff deep on their website during the TdF stinks.

so did he use menchov to set a precedent for keeping JTL as quiet as possible for Sky?

Cookson yesterday

“I think it is important when there is a case that is of legitimate public interest, that we make sure that we do announce it in a proactive way rather than a reactive way, which is what we have done in the past.”

I guess the public isnt interested in brits doping?

Well that's not true. Told ya he'd blame Endura. No mention of the WC's?

It doesnt seem wise to throw JTL under the bus like this. Who knows, maybe there will be another Kimmage interview coming up soon?

Its easy for Sky to blame it was pre him joining them. The majority of their followers are blind.

Wonder how many journalists will accept whatever Brailsford tells them....all except 1 no doubt.

Operative words in bold. Sceptic has a good point. So now folks are supposed to check the UCI's pdf link daily to see if any new suspensions have been handed down?

Would be better if UCI would follow USADA's example and have all suspensions on a dedicated webpage, and send out a brief tweet/press release to alert every time a new suspension has been ruled upon. Let the public go to the website to see the details.
