I will take that action!! If Jonas Vingegaard's legs are @80% as good as TDF, he will beat Ayuso..if team tactics are the same as Tour, Ayuso will finish in front.. But head to head, current form Jonas is excellent..

If Ayuso couldn't handle a twilight Roglic in Catalunya, against Vingegaard he'll be a toy in her hands.

This year, the most he's proven is that he's at Roglic's (current Roglic) level, which clearly isn't what he used to be. And he didn't even finish beating him in the race.

Ayuso hasn't done more than Lipowitz in a GT. Until he proves otherwise, I don't understand such favoritism.

Well, we'll say he's evolved, and Vingegaard will probably be tired from the Tour. But until then, we'll judge based on what's happened. We can't comment on something that, to this day, has never even come close to happening.

If Pogacar loses the Tour to Lipowitz next year, we'll judge accordingly, but we can't comment months before on something that has been far from happening.

We've been reading this about Ayuso for three years. If he ever achieves this, it won't invalidate the opinions based on the facts of these three years. Last year, I remember reading that Ayuso could be stronger than Pogacar in the Tour and World Championships. There may be a hypothesis, but until it happens, there's been no evidence to support it.

So far, his best performance has been at the level of Rogic 2025 in Catalunya. That's an objective fact, not an opinion.

yes, don't use the twitter/forum echo-chamber to see if he has fans. there's normal people who likes cycling outside of these web pages, that are not haters or looking for petty stuff to cheer or dislike a rider.

A rider getting hate will make some of us like him! Fan behaviour very often shapes how we see a rider. If a rider is loved he will get hate. If a rider is hated he will get love.
