Thats how it goes when you're too oblivious to the fact that you're riding with an all time rider at the peak of his powers and still attempt to hide whenever you can for selfish reasons. Very much deserved if he doesn't make the team IMO

If Ayuso hasn't trained properly for 3 weeks he simply isn't in good enough shape for team leadership at the 2024 Vuelta a Espana!

Otherwise he would be in Spain and lead the squad. He has beaten Almeida twice at the Vuelta a Espana!

Why are you so keen about sending Ayuso to the Vuelta?
Yates and Almeida did a great job for Pog in July, they deserve GT leadership too (even a shared one). Bringing Ayuso in will unbalance the team and would be bad towards Almeida and Yates imo.

Besides when was Aysuo bound to go to the Vuelta from UAE stand of point? are they not allowed to chose better fit captains for the Vuelta if they want? Yates and Almeida proven to be better shape than him so they choose them, make sense? What your typing make zero sense.

Yates and Almeida proven to be better so make more sense to go with them over him as leaders in Vuelta. You dont expect teams to choose the best riders? Does that upset you? Think most teams select their riders on that criteria. UAE just have alot of options and make more sense to go with Almeida and Yates from a sporting perspective.

Ayuso had disciplinary problems at the TdF.

Then got sick and wasnt training for three weeks at a crucial time. He is just not there mentally nor physically to ride the Vuelta.

He might be disappointed he doesnt get to start, but he has to have some time off and think about things. Get his priorities straight.

Do you have any data on that, them being in better shape then Ayuso? And does it really matter, considering if Ayuso would be in much better shape, he would still be punished? By not being allowed to participate at Vuelta 2024. Due to not being a good boy?

I would chose my best riders and the ones performing the best too so would any else employer.

The rabbling about good boy or not doesnt matter this isnt kindergarden were every rider should get to ride, Almeida and Yates have performed better so naturally it make sense to chose them as leaders there, couldnt be any easier in a competetive enviroment, basically thats how it works.

I don't know about Yates, but Almeida was scheduled to do Tour and Vuelta this season. Ayuso was only supposed to do the Tour.

If he really was away from the bike for 3 weeks, it's likely not a good idea to take him to the Vuelta. He's still very young, I don't think this will affect him that much.

Its more so on performance wice and who delivered best performance than anything else for me what I meant by it by team orders/expectations, and he he fails to deliver what was expected from him not anything else - thats only natural as a employer in a competetive enviroment, if thats duo to he was sick or not i dont know im not into the guessing game but nevertheless those two deserve it more based on performance so naturally for me they get it.

Im not into the emotion part and neither do I think they are in a big way, and the end of the day its who deserves it more as it is in every team, just imo. And thats not Ayuso. Also cause he was sick its only natural to think they ahead of him form wice too.

Man someone is just better than him and deserve it more from a performance perspective its not rocket science and deeper than that even though it might be for you, perform better and he might have been leader at Vuelta this year yes, such is life.

Next year or years or whenever he leaves he can ride whatever he wants how he wants, he should just cross his fingers he dont end up on the blacklist.

I am confused now. I thought he was in bad form and all he has to do is to get in shape? Anyway, Vuelta is just around the corner and lets see what happens. According to his team the decision will be made in last hour anyway. So Ayuso can still train and get into needed shape.

Dont be confused I get its hard. Sporting enviroment/teams base their criterias on performance I get that part is confusing. Yes lets see.

It's different indeed, as here Ayuso actually doesn't want to leave the team, he just wants to race. Not only the fans, but the team portraying him as being selfish for that. If we go back, pre Tour interviews, Ayuso actually said, when Pogi will be in good position he will race for himself too. So what exactly is he being punished for? He must have been told that is OK, otherwise why would he be publicly saying it. If the team would made it clear he will go to the Tour only to support Pogi, that was likely not the agreement.

Hence the team is the one that should be punished now, Ayuso riding the Vuelta. And if in best position, for Almeida and Yates to support him in the battle for the overall, that would be adequate.
