I think Pablo Torres is going to be a worse cyclist than Ayuso.I’m so glad I didn’t start that Pablo Torres thread. Won’t make it off page 1 of the thread at this point
He finished like 3 mins ago on Peacock around 11:30 down from the stage winner I think.did he even finish the stage today?
did he even finish the stage today?
Ayuso has said he and the team knew he wasn't fit to contest GC when he was asked to do the Vuelta.
I have read some rumours/conspiracy theories about Unipublic designing a silly easy route to attract Pogacar, and then when UAE confirmed Pogacar's not racing, Unipublic asked them to bring Ayuso.
This is not a silly, easy route. Its not a great route, but its not really an easy one either.Ayuso has said he and the team knew he wasn't fit to contest GC when he was asked to do the Vuelta.

If Ayuso was actually serious here, he'd have prepared in July as if he was riding the Vuelta because he'd know that a decision would be taken right after the Tour worst case. In reality that's what happened, but with the twist that Pog even one week before Paris strongly hinted that he wouldn't participate.Pogacar sabotaging teammates from his couch yet Ayuso is the terrible teammate
UAE were pretty strong in their communication he wouldn't race the Vuelta. If Poland was important it would have been on the schedule with or without the Vuelta. If Ayuso was actually serious here, he'd have prepared in July as if he was riding the Vuelta because he'd know that a decision would be taken right after the Tour worst case. And what then if Ayuso didn't get the call up? Well, then you go to Poland, Worlds, EC and Italy.
Unserious from Ayuso - ESPECIALLY with his latest antics in mind begging to ride. Insufferable character laying the blame on the team after another collapse.
Now watch Ayuso chase breaks and not give a single *** about Almeida
So what has Ayuso done in July to be so out of shape that you wouldn't be able to do a proper Vuelta knowing a month in advance that you'd do the Vuelta? I presume thats Pogacar's fault as well?
And both were with some rather weak performances. Lost 1'23" to Landa on Angliru.I just think he's a February/March peaker. His 2 Vuelta top 4s were when he had super light schedules going into the Vuelta.
ErrorShe...? Is this supposed to be a sexist joke of some kind or an actual error?
But Ayuso had been pressuring the media for weeks, saying he wanted to go to the Vuelta. To be honest that sounds somehow plausible.
With Carlos Rodriguez out, Mas...they probably knew he isn't likely to start and Landa questionable, I wouldn't be surprised if that's true.
Are you taking him seriously im that post? He likes to say wild things. So what has Ayuso done in July to be so out of shape that you wouldn't be able to do a proper Vuelta knowing a month in advance that you'd do the Vuelta? I presume thats Pogacar's fault as well?
