If Ayuso is as horrible as some people claim, I hope his lawyers demand that Seixas gets a rule in the contract that says the Frenchman can only ride races which Pogačar also rides. Ayuso has paid a lot of the money they will now use to sign the guy, so it would only be fair.

Could UAE terminate the contract? They were happy Ayuso found a new team.

As long as all parties involved agree everything goes.

As for UAE being happy Ayuso saying no. Even after all this time we can see on who is still clingy. Ayuso has moved on, he loves cycling again.

@AmRacer

Whatever makes UAE sleep better, Ayuso is with Lidl-Trek now. Ayuso for sure doesn't regret saying no to UAE. In era on where everybody would like to sign for UAE. I guess due to the pay check and i guess automatically being a few percentage better. Not Ayuso, he rather took bigger pay check and kept true to himself, he rather remained Juanito.

The only problem with this secondary scenario is UAE told Ayuso to pack his bags don't let the door hit you in the as- on the way out.
Juan didn't turn down any offer, he was told to leave.
Once team gets rolling and they start paying a bunch of attention to Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan he will start whining and head to Movistar with Cian Uijtdebroeks and they can share a teddy bear and warm blanket.

They had to agree with the termination, for which they wanted a buy out.
This is sort of how it worked. When Juan asked about his schedule UAE said that they had him signed up for a Thursday night race in Albania and on Friday he was going to do a race in Romania at midnight and then Monday in the Bulgaria grand fondo..he got the hint..
And when he checked the old schedule he could see that someone had crossed out his name and wrote Isaac Del Toro in all events Juan was scheduled for..
I think what really broke Ayuso is when Mauro Gianetti informed him instead of hotels , Ayuso would be sleeping on a borrowed dog bed in the back of a 1999 Opel station wagon and he would need to drive himself to the races..I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Ayuso's TT at Bilbao shows how brutal it is at the top. If he's got problems still after the crash then he's just getting in the kms to get back in shape.

yeah, TTs especially are very brutal. in football it can be difficult to see if the CM is a little out of shape, because some of his team mates might be running a bit more to compensate. But in cycling, especially a TT you need to be fit and sharp af to be in the mix and if you're just a little bit off the boils it's going to look like you've been spending 2 weeks in Mallorca drinking beer and eating chips.

Hopefuly JA is lacking more in the sharpness column than in fitness.

Is that up to the riders now? Whatever happened to doctors and the other experts that teams have a plenty these days?

Now, I'm just guessing here, but could it be that the doctors had actually adviced Ayuso to step off, but he actually wanted to stay and help Skjelmose?

But didn’t want to help Pogacar or Almeida?

What were those situations?

I know about the situations in the Giro last year, when Del Toro had the Jersey, and Ayuso was One-Eye-Uso.
And there was another situation where he had Covid - one of those you mention, I guess.
What was the other?
