I have to say, I was impressed and surprised to see him summit that last climb first yesterday. It will be fun to see how he does with fresh motivation from being on a new team.

New team for next year. Even though I heard they were one of the possibilities, I didn't think that Tudor would be his landing spot.
Completely surprised!! Don't know what the outlook is for the brand, Tudor appears to want a prominent title role, I had heard that Marc Hirschi was going..
But Tudor and Astana putting it out there!!
I wonder if Remco is going to announce a wedding soon!!!

After today, Kwiatkowski is the only former world champion who hasn't been trading pulls with Pogi in a small group the past 8 days. Alaphilippe probably just didn't want to be left out.

Yeah, I came close to making a post about the main difference between Amstel and RVV/PR being that only two riders with rainbow bands had led the race, but then Remco made his move.

Now, that's a reference to track stuff.
I can't be expected to keep... track... of exactly which four Danes were going 'round in circles on a day when they won that title.

But it's a bit like watching a French rider sprinting for the win in the 2022 AGR and then just assuming it was Alaphilippe for weeks afterwards.

Nice to see Ala being somewhat competitive today, btw. Topcat and other fans have suffered with him.

What was nicest to see was him clearly being a bit over the hill and still deciding to ruin a bunch of peoples races, it's been a long time since I've seen such a fantastic spite-attack. Didn't even bother trying to cling on to group 2, just went straight into group 3 and started chatting to some random guys at the back. What it does confirm is that Pogacar doesn't seem to watch or pay attention to any cycling at all “You never underestimate Alaphilippe, so I went. Then I thought we will go far together, but the next climb he dropped".

I look forward to him panicking and desperately chasing a move involving Froome and Fuglsang in this years Tour.

I'll chug down three Amstels by myself if Froome and Fuglsang are riding the Tour.
