He's a parody to most? Funny, didn't most of the message sent to that Irish radio station agrewith kimmage over Walsh when Walsh went on there a few months ago?
An Irish radio station? Is that his sphere of influence these days? I presume that's the same station Kimmage is a regular guest on?

But I'm interested where this invisible majority can be found. Where are they on this, the biggest doping forum on the internet. We have jv post here, Betsy post here, Rr posts here, there are 500 different posters to have posted in one of the sky threads in the last 2 years.
500 people! In just two years! Wow! That's almost as many followers as I have on twitter, and I'm a nobody. You really think you're important don't you? That's hilarious.

Why would anyone put themselves in a position of being interviewed by someone who is pretty sure they dope and is unlikely to change their mind.

Why not.

He said himself several times it's his duty to show the world cycling is clean.

The reason we think he won't do it, is because we know Wiggins has been lying on a number of things and we know kimmage would ask questions that Wiggins could not answer without looking very bad.

But a true innocent athlete has nothing to lose from confronting a doubter. What cab the doubter do in that situation? Only lose the debate.

In 1 on 1 debates, the person with the facts on their side wins (assuming both sides are somewhat competent).

I'm not sure, considering Wiggins history when answering questions (example: the "****ing ****ers" press conference) I don't think an interview would help much, especially an interview that is going to be about doping with someone he obviously dislikes.

No they don't. That's why some lawyers are more expensive than others.

Usually in such debates, the person whose opinion you agreed with before the debate 'wins'.

Kimmage is probably the only journalist capable of uncovering what is or isn't going on. Having him moved off the Sunday times and keeping him on a black list is only going to make him look harder.

Wiggins doesn't want an interview with Kimmage because he knows Kimmage will dig up loads of numerous quotes he has made over the years (LA, Contador, Doctors, Leinders etc) and make him look ridiculous.

I never said I'm important though you know that. I gave you numbers for a sample size that disproves your thesis. 500 on a neutral site (actually one that many would argue is pro sky).is more than a sufficient sample size, especially considering the readership and therefore potential posters, are greater.

I gave you those numbers so you can show me what you have that tells you everyone ridicules kimmage. 500 may be small but 0 is smaller. The few thousand who listened to Irish radio may be small but 0 is smaller.

Until you can show us bigger numbers that suggest kimmage is ridiculed, then the 2 I offeeed, both of which strongly conclude that the exact opposite of what you say, is true, are good enough.

You going to show them, or just throw insults (now which pro cyclist may you have read that from?)

This...and it was ridiculous that it took me telling Walsh, the day he interviewed Wiggins, what Wiggins had said about landis...that should never have been the case. Kimmage would have had his homework done ten times over.

‘Paul Kimmage: he took drugs, and he was still ****.’

Ouch. Poor old Kimmy is going to need a few more bottles than usual to send him off to sleep after reading that.

Not called for.

You said that "there are 500 different posters to have posted in one of the sky threads in the last 2 years". (Both pro and con Sky). Nothing to do with Kimmage.
So you want be to find more people than that ridicule Kimmage based on a number completely unrelated to him.

The biggest reaction to Kimmage these days is actually indifference.

I want you to show me what has given you the conclusion that kimmage is seen as a parody?

Those words just seemed like someone who doesn't like Kimmage rattling of an angry sentence they know not to be true to calm themselves down.

Let's say that I'm a writer working with Sir BMW on a book.
I'm not sure I'd want Bradley doing interviews with anyone
else. I might consider I had an exclusive right to interviews
with the legendary sportsman until after the tome dropped.

Yet here he is giving Cycling News an interview just a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe Benson was making unreasonable demands. A lot of journalists these days take access for granted and take the pee. They should go and work on another sport for a few months and see how good they have it.
Maybe Wiggins blacklist journos who don't wear knee pads.

That has nothing to do with Benson.

And it's funny how Wiggins is telling the truth when it agrees with you. I guess this only applies when it suits you:

haha no it's about you defending wiggins and sky until the end yet your boy admits he tells lies.

you might want to address what kimmage has said about sky which you think is wrong...or maybe you think it's ok for wiggins to say lance is amazing, that he loves him, that he's innocent, that landis isn't credible or that alberto is innocent...but look if he's your guy, you go for it!!

But again the similarities between the USP fans of tens years ago and sky today are amazing.

Daniel Benson ‏@dnlbenson 9h
“I’d just like to challenge the people asking those questions a little more." says Wiggins, who refused to talk to me in Spain last month.

Simone Warner ‏@SimoneWarner 8h
Heh @dnlbenson saying Wiggins refused interview Mallorca last month. BW interviewed by CN Mallorca last month http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNgsjLBp7JY

Daniel Benson ‏@dnlbenson 8h
@SimoneWarner what I said was that he refused to talk to me. Which is true. Said I wasn't supportive.

So your counter argument is not to address anything I said but to trot out the same old tired track based on old quotes made on the spot rather than anything he has actually done.

Like I said. It's a journalist that thinks he has divine right to access. He should go and try another sport and see how lucky he is. What did Benson actually ask for?
