Because in the world of social media there are a lot of people making out to be more than they actually are - particularly if they are part of a group soliciting money for a cause as you did, before giving it to another anonymous tweeter.
If someone who has built a social media profile don't you think that 'transparency' dictates that their status as an absolute nobody should be public, particularly when they have been involved in collecting 100k and then 'losing' it.

One would think I should be the one to do that..and not you without saying it first. Fact is that you also knew it was against the rules on here.
Anyway I won't derail the thread. You know full well why you did it.

I did it so people knew who was responsible for making a mess of the Kimmage fund. Something you have lacked transparency for. You should have put your hand up and accepted blame. 'Couldn't get PayPal to work' seems pretty weak. Maybe there's more to this story.

Like what?
The fund was stolen, you can't blame the people who started it up, can you?

So if somebody steals from a bank, the bank shouldn't be "blamed?"

So what did he ask for? I'm still betting that the editor of this minority website with a meeting point for doping enthusiasts is going to be a little lower on the food chain than the Guardian, for example.

I'm guessing that Benson is thinking he's a bigger player than he really is.

Cyclingnews is a minority website now on cycling? guardian is a better website for cycling?

if benson is not a big player it's all the more ridiculous that wiggins refuses to talk to him.

edit: my view of benson (for what it's worth and in as far as i can tell) is that he's one of the few cycling journos out there with a proper skeptical mindset.
he's certainly not always as deep digging as i'd like, but generally i think he's quite decent and improving.

PK's twitter says he spent time with Froome on Wednsday and will have an article on him tomorrow.

Sounds like Sky are desperate for some positive PR if they've let Kimmage back in

Have they broken Walsh' heart? Maybe thats why they are going with Kimmage? Seems odd.

I hope he asks about the rabbits, and whether Michelle has any pets.

She has a cat. The cat even has a Twitter and instagram account (FroomeCat). Hope Froome doesn't feed the cat to his pyhtons.

I think they are in panic mode. Terrible publicity because of the book and the TUE, and large swathe of supporters turning their backs on Froome because of Wiggins being left out the TdF. Team management looks non-existent, you have the like of Riis and Tinkov trolling them, sure they had a brain-storming session and came up with trying to convince Kimmage. Looking forward to the report.

I cant see how this could end well. Kimmage seems like the last person you would want interviewing Froome right now.

It's a bold move, they thought they let the right one in with Walsh, now they are letting Kimmage in. Very, very interested to see what he makes of Froome.

I think the best they are hoping for is a highly critical (of team management) but objective piece that may give Froome the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe he'll do them a favour and throw Wiggins on the fire while he's at it.

Can Kimmage be objective about froome/sky will be the main worry?

You have always felt Kimmage feels personally affronted by Sky after being denied being embedded with them in 2010. I wonder if inviting him back in, giving him the access and more importantly the recognition of him as a significant spokesman who's opinion they value may mellow his attitude to them. I would guess that is the gambit they are playing anyway. Even so he'll be acutely aware of the expectations on him, so I am certain he won't pull any punches. It is going to be fascinating.

Kimmage asked for the interview last year. I think its just taken this long for them to give it to him.

Yep and I hope he had the film crew in tow. Also requested a Wiggins interview, wonder will he get that? Doubt it.

I feel sorry for Kimmage, he probably had to wade through the autobiography before Wednesday. Wonder did Froome tell him his Vo2max?

What you mean he hasn't already read his pal's book and given Walsh a nice little endorsing quote to use of the inside cover?

I hope he asks him about posing with Vino, posting it on twitter and what he likes about the guy :D
