I think the plan was to have Hunt bring Hsvd to the front. It costs him dearly, because he killed himself.

think it's too early to get on the smug train yet, dim? ;)

NO need to be smug.. most of us brits know what stannard is capable of. and unless something strange happens he is headed to a top ten finish.

If they stay away, there's 2 Dutch guys and only one of them can sprint. They'll work something out :)

When 2 sprinters/fast men start watching each other, what do you think the 3rd guy will do?

The front group is starting to believe. Thor and Roulston need to close it down...

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I guess the next 30 km will feel like they have that 20km still in it too. Survival of the fittest now.

For me it is still anyone's guess who will have any legs left towards the end, and they will all be super motivated to give it their all - chance of their lives.

Whoever had the current front 3 on his betting slip could make a killing.

Apart from a chance to put something on your CV that was never in the picture
Sky win = super weekend.
Vacansoleil win = another ticket in the TdF wild card bowl
Rabo win = making up for yesterday by a guy who I hadn't expected anywhere near the top

Starting to get to that stage that if you suddenly remember your legs, you will instantly feel so bad, you'll blow there and then.

Yes. But it's not as if the groups behind had it easy. He's still taking decent pulls

And obviously he is really motivated. Attacking early in the race, in this weather, in a Belgian Classic and take the win... You could look that up in the dictionary under the adjective "heroic"

They all look miserable.

I think whatever happens today, obviously i hope stannard wins, but whatever happens i hope the winner comes from those three, and whoever wins, even if its huschovd they deserve it.. real tough guys race today..
