IMHO this is an attempt to rescue LIVEStrong, to at least stop the losses, maybe in money and certainly in credibility. Money talks, and so Lance is to talk. Full stop.

I'd say he's going to talk about Mom a lot!

One thing, Hog, I haven't seen Mom at all since he dumped Sheryl Crow or even his previous wife. Crow is a straightshooter and I bet she had the goods on all the doping. Doubt Mom was impressed.

Oprah doesn't do hard interviews. This is Lance controlling the message. Yet again. Hope it backfires big time!

precisely.

oprah will never know the real questions to ask and he will be able to lie and spin just as he did when he chose larry king after l'equipe in 2005...

He'll talk about his upbringing, Mom, leaving school to train, going to Europe and seeing all the doping etc etc etc.

His eyes will water up. He won't say he doped but he did what he had to do to win in that environment.

He'll took about Mom some more, Ben Stiller, his kids, his girlfriend.

And that's about it.

Sorry but he's not a man. He can't actually tell the truth. Doesn't know how.

I am so out of touch with the Hollywood stars and celebrities.
Oprah still has a show?
Or is this a one off special?

Oprah does specials now. She's worth billions though.

If they're announcing it, the show has already been recorded. Lack of any discussion of the attempt to pay off usada in 2004 will be revealing.

His tale is getting worse, they decided to rush this show onto the air before it became worthless.

I'm thinking it was a good effort for his team when they conceived it, but is now happening too late in the cycle of ever increasing negative surprises from his past.

From what I hear Oprah's show is only on cable and a rather obscure channel now so her followers won't be the classic Oprah groupies so Lance's exposure to that crowd won't be as big as it might of been when Oprah was on regular network.

You what? This is all going to be carefully stage managed before it ever gets on air - for LA this is a soft landing (a guaranteed soft landing) for Oprah (not completely familiar with her career but am led to believe that she has already retired) she'll only be coming out for a big scoop (unfortunately this isn't - just a big celeb coming out saying how he didn't or was forced into dope).

Therefore what are we left with?
A story about millionaire bicycle hero who cheated death and then cheated billions into thinking he not only beat cancer but beat everyone in pro-cycling by will power alone as magical as the story is it just isn't true no more than Santa Claus, Yet unlike Santa Clause there are lots of willing adults to support the LA story that he did win 7 TDF's.
As much as its a good story we shouldn't let ourselves be bought in by it. Oprah is a buy in for the masses for this and that is the only explanation for why they'd want her in.

Anyway as far as i'm concerned it won't pull the wool over the cycle fans or nor is intended to. It is mereley a guise to let LA keep going but certainly pull the wool over the general public's eyes many of whom have already forgotten about this.

Just some thoughts...

Why do you think he's going to blow his beans on national TV without making a deal with Tygart first?

No, he's going on Oprah to continue to deny doping and give everyone the middle finger.

Exactly! Will be a laughingstock now. The press hates Lance, for having been duped. Can't wait to see the reviews.

A lot of the press was complicit - they'll want to help him out!

Maybe we’re all looking at this wrong. This isn’t about LA trying to get some money and positive publicity. Oprah, now on the decline, is trying to tap into the ultra-lucrative Clinic market.

You have to ask yourself, why is Onenut targeting a female audience?

I feel sick. I'm curious as all heck to find out what spin he can put on things, but, really, I can't contribute to O's ratings, web or otherwise.

Oh, is he getting paid for the interview? That'd be interesting to find out.

O is a wh0re. So is Onenut.
Guessing he's pushing the Cancer angle...

Wish the IRS to whoever the xxxx it is it is would hurry up and expose fraudstrong already...
