Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

The one who sued everybody is now scared of taking his own medicine and so seeks reconciliation. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!

I am guessing the price of reconciliation will be $500000 which is what it will take to keep Landis out of jail after his conviction for fraud resulting in the deal with prosecutors. If Landis does not come up in the discussion, Oprah is not doing her job.

Be a hell of a lot more than that, what does Floyd stand to make if the whistleblower case finds to his benefit????

But that assumes that the case goes ahead, that he can fund it, that he wins which is far from certain, and that it happens quickly enough for him, and that the outcome even if successful is not appealed to make sure he gets paid quick enough, none of which are a certainty.. Staying out of jail I am guessing is what is motivating Landis right now, and thatis a timebomb already ticking set by a court last year that will not wait to see whether Qui Tam flies: the wheels of government tick so slowly. As the song goes "know when to hold them, and know when to fold them". If LA offers to settle that bill and his legal fees. I am guessing Landis will bite his hand off.

Oprah won't be doing her job unless she asks specific questions about the listserv seeding strategies used by he who must not be named. Posts here, posts there, the current actions, the old actions (Liestrong interns, post poison about Lemond), etc.

Now if the "team" around he who must not be named sees a favorable poster and feeds them lines crafted by the PR/legal team, and that poster "independently" posts, well....

Qui Tam will make Landis richer than Wonderboy when this is all over.

Think Weisel, Stalpeton and Knaggs are gonna hang around that bad smell as he goes down the tubes. They'll make sure he pays for it all though.

I'm sure someone said it already, Oprah doesn't give anyone a chance to finish their sentence before she interrupts them. Lance will hardly be able to say anything, it's the perfect show for him. Ha hah! :D

.

You are viewing it through rose tinted / lance hatred glasses.

That out come assumes that the case happens, and that he wins, and that he wins the appeal. None of which are certain, not least because there was no loss without which it is hard to prove fraud.: USPS bought promotion and got it in spades. If the case was a slamdunk, I think the US justice department would have dunked it by now, and no way could Landis afford to fight the case on his own.

Also - If it goes ahead I am guessing Weisel has as much if not more to fear than Armstrong. Scott Mercier for example can testify that the USPS systematic doping was enforced team policy before Armstrong even joined the team, so it was not "Armstrong who started it" and there are many others part of the same conspiracy: Landis him self a conspirator during the fact. He did not walk away because of the doping but carried on regardless. I do not know how Qui Tam suits calculate damages, other than the "headline percentage" but I suspect the fact that Landis happily carried on doing it both at USPS and then elsewhere (by the same token defrauding other sponsors) would weigh against him

True whistleblowers (like for example the UK born head of Japanese Olympus - walk away to avoid being part of the conspiracy)

Faced with jail time and a ticking clock, I think Landis will settle for certainly rather than winning such a high stakes lottery - which is unlikely to give him money on time even if he wins. It is a case that could drag on for years, even if started today. So if lance offers him the cost of an exit and a few dollars to get going again, I think he will take it. Of course paying a witness to avoid testifying in a case against them has a kind of whiff of bribery and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice about it! All no doubt legally muddy water so the documents would need careful drafting!

I think Lance might just use that "qui tam" suit in the Oprah interview as a way to dodge questions he does not want to answer.

500K?

Why would he do that when he is about to win 30% of 30 MIL ?

And, once again associate yourself by making a deal with a corrupt guy like Lance for any less? At least earn less on your own terms trying expose the truth.

I think you mean Nancy Grace, not Oprah. But Nancy would be great interviewing Lance, especially if she is in one of her nastier moods!

Because it is not a slamdunk as you imply. It is unlikely and would take a very long time - not fast enough to keep him out of jail in my opinion.

Staying out of jail I would guess is Landis's prime motivation right now.

BTW - I just backed Lance to say "landis" and "uSADA" in the 90 minutes with Oprah at the bookmaker..

Ladbrokes are going to get creamed with this. They have now limited bets on "landis" to 12.50 miserable gits. It is as close as I have seen to "free money" in a long time. But with 12.50 on landis and 37.50 on him saying USADA, either way up I get more than my stake back.. and according to their helpdesk it qualifies for the £50 free bet!

You must be British. What I mean is .....does people really put bets on things like this? I guess it must be big bucks. For me, I would not put money on things like this but hey I don't bet much either.

I noticed that Betsy said she will not watch it. Yet she is going to record it. At least that is what was in the article linked above.

Anyhow it is not a forgone conclusion that the Federal Government will go along with the Floyd Qui Tam case. In my opinion that could go either way.

As for me ...I don't get the OH network and doubt I would watch it anyhow. I dang sure would not waste my DVR space recording it. This will be half ***'ed on Lance's part and what value does it serve except promoting himself. No thanks.

Has the Fish Hack gotten any feed back from his open letter to Ophrah? I am sure she paid a tone of attention to his proposed questions. Surprised the Hack did not just leave a web link to his book. Self serve and soft serve.

Good post. I certainly wouldnt put it past Wonderboy or his "team" to do something smarmy like that. Wonderboy only does things to benefit himself, if he can get away with something like this to make himself look better, he'll do it.

Are you in the UK? It seems Ladbrokes doesn't take bets from quite a few countries including the US.

Staying out of jail is Armstrong's number one objective right now.

Not losing the whistleblower lawsuit is a close number two for him. Hence the news today that he will attempt reconciliation with Landis.

He's between a rock and a hard place, but this time no exclusive access to the latest magic dope.

Come on Oprah, you can say it - biggest fraud in the history of sports!

Armstrong saying Landis at 5/1... but I think they're realistic odds. I don't think he'll say Landis.

What odds can I get on his first words being "I'm in love"?

Nicole Cook not mincing her words when it comes to Lance:

"When Lance (Armstrong) "cries" on Oprah later this week and she passes him the tissue, spare a thought for all those genuine people who walked away with no rewards - just shattered dreams. Each one of them is worth a thousand Lances."

Think she's entirely right. Someone who is clearly annoyed and bitter about her experiences in the sport. Can hardly blame her.

yeah I said something similar in my previous post. No reply from Mountainrman whatever it means.

Seems like the folks around the clinic will be glued to the Television to see what is asked and said.

Nicole Cooke is non-British Cycling isn't she. Would be interested to hear more straight talking commentary from her.
