I interpreted "I just try to keep him normal" as
euphemism for hand relief

:D:eek:

You know that "13million" Men suffer from "LowT" (maybe LA is one of them?). So probably now that he is legit he can utilize the "body massage" more often.

on the continent, in this turgid euphemism, they just paraphrse in one word

preparatore

I bet he has the name of guys like Tiger Woods doctor in toronto or montreal, u know the one who delivers "youth solutions". Gotta love Orwell and newspeack
Your company, Movement Solutions International works with a very exclusive client base. What is it that you do with this group of professional sports people?
My ultimate goal with anyone is to get them to improve their movement capabilities, so whatever sport it be, whatever movement that may be, I work to help them become more efficient, more effective. I try to get their bodies work the way that they’re designed to work and however that is done differs for each individual. It’s different for someone like Adam Scott who plays golf, it’s different to Lance Armstrong who now does three different sports, but the ultimate goal is still the same, and that is to keep them injury free so they can train and to improve their movement capabilities.

Who ever that guy was that used the fins he still only completed the swim in 1hour and 30min which is about 2:20 per 100m. That means that dude sucked at cheating!

I thought theHog was being serious. He was just having some fun.

Anyhow I do note that LA’s swim times hold up (stays within the front pack) with the other top racers.

His marathon is a serious problem if he wants to be serious. I have said that forever on this message board and others. Many people on various sites said at one time he would be able to run 2:30 for the marathon. Not in a tri but at the marathon alone. I don’t think he can do that.
He needs to be able to do 2:45 in the tri to be up with the top. I don’t think it is possible either.
Like you said he can compete in the top but to win ….probably not going to happen.
What I noticed was how bulky he was compared to other tri guys. If you want to go fast you got to go lean. It'll be interesting to see how that progresses. BTW there is a huge difference between 70.3 and Ironman and that bulk will tell.
And no WAY could he do 2.30. Rasmus H reckons he could go around 2.15 so go figure!

Lance is built like a big iron washtub on top of a pair of legs....I'm not sure if he will ever be able to develop a 'runner's body or style'.
He's a heelstriker fgs...

Yes, 'movement' certainly seems to be the buzzword of this year.
'movement capabilities' even better

maybe Lance will morph into a yoga instructor in his coming 'gentler years'.

So his running biomechanics are bad?

Gentler years?

He showed at Galveston he has not mellowed and still throws a pique if all does not go according to his script. Memories of him as a 15 year old.

get off a bike from a hard ride, and start to run! your biomechanics will be horrible for a while. it rare to see ANY pro inc craig alexander look fantastic off the bike until they've settled. some just settle faster.
in anycase good or bad, lance outrun some pretty good athletes; its about getting to the end fastest - so it cant be all that bad now can it?

so go back to something else, cause you have no clue here.

RR I'm hearing reports that the end is neigh. Any idea when the grenades go off?

I have say it's awfully quiet around here. Where's the Usual Suspects? It's only you, me and the tumbleweed....

hog it seems like the usual suspects are trying very hard to say 'nothing to see here folks, move along' :D

I'm hanging around for the grenades

hi Glenn__! you know about running and biomechs ..

lance = heel striker, upper body twisting (swaggering), stride long & stiff :D

some of these tri guys have very fluid running gait....
sure helps if you're wanting to win an ironman...on natural ability

He is a terrible runner. Never going to be a Tri champ in my opinon. Never going to get 2:45 for a full marathon..in my opinon.

Enjoy the half time festivities. There is still a lot of game to play.

The good thing about predictions is if you keep making them you will eventually be right. All the past misguided fantasies will be forgotten and you can crow. I'm sure that is even more orgasmic when you have no humility.

All will be right in the world if LA gets stripped of his wins and the rightful winners JU, Basso, Beloki, etc. are crowned.

I wonder how it will end for Dave? Usually a book or a lawsuit but it never ends well.

The Lance love on firstoffthebike has been rampant recently - right up there with slowtwitch..

A few weeks back, I tweeted this to the owner of the website:

"Guys... Please. It's almost like you are sucking up to get an interview, thus driving more traffic to your site". No response from Phil.

They've recently started removing comments critical of Armstrong.
