The accusation about the UCI is the very serious one. Who can investigate the UCI? Any one know?

No, its because of us. If we don't watch/be fans it dies no matter who races it.

This.

If any rider goes away, his place will be taken by another one. The fans will always be here to make the sport what it is and the riders what they are.

It's simple mathematics.

LA has never doped. Has never been proven to dope. Is the most tested athlete in sports. Just cause some hasbeen decides to start spreading lies, you all buy it. Follow the herd, just another cow.

They don't make stupid like you often. Have fun fanboy! This is going to sting a little. Of course, it is nothing like the screwing you took from your fraud of a hero all these years. Dang, sucks for you.

For you.

For us, nothing could be farther from the truth. He's another rider. The sport is the sport, it was here before, it will continue to be the same afterward. Same goes for any other rider, team or race that goes down in flames
Not for me but for millions of sports fans it has.

The die hard fans will watch but will the casual fan watch after lance is proved to be fraud. (I use the word "proved" loosely")

I wonder what the folks at SCA promotions make of this news?

Do they have legal options?

That was my thought as well. I think considering the new evidence they are going to want their 5mill back and some. I think that might be fraud is it not?

Prediction for Press Conference, in this order:

RadioShack press officer Philippe Maertens told VeloNews that Armstrong and Bruyneel will speak to the press tomorrow morning at the team’s bus at the start of stage 5 of the Amgen Tour of California.

Deny everything and state they're going after Floyd legally with all they got. How dare he soil the cure for cancer!

Sean Weide, U.S. media director for BMC Racing, told VeloNews that the team will issue a statement later regarding the allegations made against current BMC rider Hincapie and former Phonak boss — and current BMC Bicycles owner — Andy Rihs.

Throw Hincapie under the bus, pull him from race and state doping is bad, hum.. kay. Claim BMC boss is having mental issues and they don't know what the state of sponsorship is for now.

Garmin-Transitions communications director Marya Pongrace said that the team will offer comment soon regarding the allegations against its rider Zabriskie, who currently leads the Amgen Tour of California.

Offer up details of their involvement back in the day with USPS, state they're on the up and up. (while keeping their fingers crossed the axe doesn't fall near them)

He needs to team up with Hamilton. Another man sucked in and broken by the doping/omerta system. Another man with nothing to lose.
and, if truth be told, cuckolded, as StrongArm did his wife.

Sure this has been printed?

For Pat McQuaid, president of the International Cycling Union, Landis’s accusations do not taint Armstrong’s reputation one bit.

“I think Landis is in a very sad situation and I feel sorry for the guy because I don’t accept anything he says as true,” McQuaid said in a telephone interview on Thursday. “This is a guy who has been condemned in court, who has stood up in court and stated that the he never saw any doping in cycling. He’s written a book saying he won the Tour de France clean. Where does that leave his credibility? He has an agenda and is obviously out to seek revenge.”

If that were true, cycling would've been destroyed when he retired.

But it wasn't, was it?

EDIT: i see euanli beat me to the point :)

Let me remind you that:

Quote:Andreu: How do they sneak it in, or keep it until needed? I'm sure it's not with the truck in the fridge.

Vaughters: Motorcycle – refrigerated panniers. On the rest day. Floyd has a photo of the thing.

It's like you read my mind... ;)

His Majesty Lord Uniballer Pharmstrong is definitely toast if Flandis really have that photo

I for one appreciate it. I've laughed quite a bit at your expense in those ten minutes.

And I am laughing at you. I come in here and post 1 post with the LA talking points from the last 10 years and you guys jump all over it. I would think you guys would be smarter than that. Keep on keepin on.

True, but it has taken balls (or someone with nothing to lose) to finally say it. LA has spent 12 years bullying people who were too afraid to say anything. Finally, someone has the stones to step up to the plate.

You might find the stones come from his background, his mother for instance.

Great move he has made, I will get my Phonyak shirt on that site where you can swop things for monetary loss.

Remember, the most important thing is that when he was lying, it was easy pickings, he did not make a good job of it, his people would have pushed that scenario in preference to the truth and bankruptcy. Now he is telling the truth, it reads that way, facts just written down in a matter of fact way, nobody will find or pick holes, just watch those who try to and then check who pays their wages, hi Phil.

To me the Zabriskie angle is a non-event.

It's obvious as daylight he WAS on the sauce, but I tend to doubt it now. Just look at how he rode in the Tour TT's with SAXO--repeat SAXO. He's not the same rider now.

He's clean or much, much cleaner now. The Zabriskie stuff is a side issue.

It's the guys that win while on the sauce that matter.

Edit: even with thehog's comments on TOC below, still think Zabriskie angle is a sideshow. No one really cares about the smaller fry.

Landis has named too many people and has exposed that there is corruption throughout the sport - this cannot be explained away by a simple press release.

Look at what happened Ullrich and Pantani - neither ever served a sanction (JUs was for ecstasy) yet both their careers plummeted.

Also we have only seen 1 email of 3 - and then theres the famous IM between JV& FA they say he has fotos of the motorcycle with pannier-bags - if he was left alone with LAs & Hincapies bloodbags he probably took fotos of that too.

I'm sure it will have negative press against LA, but more than that? JU and MP were different people. They were easy targets due to their mindset (Jan a decent guy, Pantani a crazy guy) Lance won't go down easy, he has dealt with this before.

And naming too many people... we seen this before, didn't we? A recent example: Boogerd, Menchov, all names in Human Plasma. We all know its extremely likely that that is a true story as well, effect: zero.

Now we have this coming form a known liar.. of course it's true, as it confirms every rumor and scrap of evidence we have seen so far. But we aren't the judge and jury. The lawyers will rip Landis to pieces.

Anyone who had some knowledge of Lance's whereabouts could make up a story like this... it simply isn't proof. The same with the photo's: even if he finds a blood bag with Lance's name: I could make one myself... So easy to shoot holes in this case.

And before I get mobbed again: Of course this is the real deal, it's just how the lawyers and spin will approach this one.

Let's hope I'm overly pessimistic.

But remember: Betsy is a much more believable witness. lance brushed that one aside with no real lasting effect. Landis isn't nearly as good a witness as Betsy.
