I think this is the best thing for cycling.. Hopefully this will spell the end of Bruyneel, "postal" "phonak" or their various reincarnations, and they can be kicked out of cycling for once and for all.

It wont solve the problem but it will go a long way in allowing cycling to move forward.

I do wonder if lance will go down the denial route or in a few months or years will go down the "if im going ot be destroyed im going to destroy cycling with me" route.

Lance will deny deny deny....... maybe even under oath.

Things wont change unless there is a change within the UCI - and we have already heard from Pat, hopefully it is enough rope to hang himself with.

But this could force governments or WADA to get involved.

Coolhand is still in denial....an intervention might be needed for him. The belief is strong with that guy. That and downright mental sickness.

P.S. On another quiet day I am going to start a poll:
Is Coolhand:
a psycho
a mental case
deranged
or mentally unstable

I can't decide myself.

Oh, wow. Popcorn time!

Looks like we might have a chance to get the ship cleaner after all. If the riders themselves are spreading this like wildfire, it can only mean lids will come off.

Anything on LA's twitter?

SSDD.

You ever see the end of the Godfather?

I think he's going to have Landis, LeMond, Walsh, Kimmage, Hamilton, and Fredo assassinated.

I think perhaps it could help build on the movement. Credibility is the biggest problem that threatens the process. If he had come right out and admitted to his positive in the first place without all the additional LeMond/Hacking/etc. as further distractions, it would be a different story.

A shame Daniel Benson gave such a poor interview on Radio 5 here in the UK. Really dropped the ball - and audience of millions and he gives a load of guff by questioning the timing of the announcement.

You need to understand that these people are cultists. When you view it as a cult then the behaviour becomes a bit more clear. Deprogramming is a pretty serious business. They are some pretty good exponents of it on this forum but many of the victims are going to require long term residential care.

Bravo, Floyd -- not for being the fab cyclist you used to think you were, but for finally becoming the better person your parents believed they raised.

I believe the timing of this statement has EVERYTHING to do with conscience, the statute of limitations, and Floyd's anger at hypocritical key players in cycling. The Tour of California? Please! If the news didn't break during the ToC, naysayers would claim another race had been sullied. There is cycling from January to November!

If the story broke in December, people would say, "Thanks Floyd, for ruining Christmas, you pr!ck!"

Bravo Floyd. Speak out, speak the truth, and provide a complete statement of the facts as you know them. The whole truth, however expensive, will be cycling's salvation.

The sport has been filthy since its inception. I know. I competed in the 1970's. Same sport, different dope.

It's ok - CN got word out first that something might be happening, but didn't have the balls to publish any details.

Ultimately they have just as much interest as Ligget, Sherwen, Harmon et al. Which to me, makes it a little bit ironic that it was a Murdoch paper (WSJ) which actually broke this open.
