Slim hope in that Poels clearly still isn't in top shape yet.
No chance he can't do what needs to be done

This, still reserving energy for 3rd week. Poels out this early means Froome feels very good today.

What do you guys think. Is Alaphilippe too much of a sprinter, to be a good climber?

He's not a sprinter at all, and he is a good climber only for one day. Recovery is the main issue...

Anyone know what the time limit is today? Greipel now with only one team-mate, other one has been sent on ahead. He's caught up with a group of four which includes Gaviria and Pozzovivo (14:24 back)

Oh yeah, he'll come good soon I'm sure. I just meant that at least we won't have Poels dropping everyone before Froome and have even attacked. Although, that scenario could be the most interesting part of the tour as we'd find out what Thomas is really about.

Not sure what Kruiswijk is trying but there is a lot of flat midway up Croix de Fer so best to stay together untill 5 kms from the top

Yeah kind of weird, I hope he's not trying to do a Froome attacking from 80k to go.

Krushweak looks a bit like Horner minus the constant grin and can't do all the climbs out of the saddle.

Am I the only one who thinks Sky is underestimating Kruijswijk here? He is one of the top climbers in the world on a good day. Excellent stamina too.

But there is a 15 km flat section at the bottom of the descent. Surely it's better to wait for others and then go full on on the last climb.

If they force Kwiat to ride on the front before Alpe, I think break has a chance..

If you look at Froome's face, you'd say he's not having a good day.
Then again, it's Froome. WTF knows.

Sky can take a lot of time on the last climb if they need to.They might bluff again and let Nibali come to the rescue.

Bad move from Kruijswijk, the key is to stay in as big number as possible in the valley.
