Am I the only one who thinks Sky is underestimating Kruijswijk here? He is one of the top climbers in the world on a good day. Excellent stamina too.
I don't think it's underestimation, but more a lack of flexibility. They have 1 gameplay and stick with it. I think Roglic is feeling great, just like Kruijswijk. Very dangerous couple for Sky and clearly in better shape than the Movistar-diva's.

Bad move from Kruijswijk, the key is to stay in as big number as possible in the valley.
no, let him do it. Who cares, everybody always complains about boring blabla.

Let him attack and see where it ends. Probably in tragedy, but at least he is trying and Sky has to do something. If it works its heroic, if it doesn't work then all he loses is a top 10.

Insane Alpe stages this year with this mass exodus of sprinters. Sagan also seems a little concerned about the time limit, otherwise I don't think he would have kept up with the peloton all the way to the bottom of the Croix-de-Fer.

Now Gaviria is at the very back but he has team support.

If you look at Froome's face, you'd say he's not having a good day.
Then again, it's Froome. WTF knows.

I had the same impression, even from the first climb. But *** knows with him, hard to judge.

There won't be sprinters left in the race by the time they arrive to Paris.
It's going to be interesting stage there.

If Kruiswijk has 5 minutes at the top of Croix I don't think the peloton will catch him.

Yeah. Feels like Andy and Alberto taking all that time only to be caught before the Alpe in 2011. It's a win if he leads around Dutch Corner. Icing would be stage victory.

Not sure what Kruiswijk is trying but there is a lot of flat midway up Croix de Fer so best to stay together untill 5 kms from the top

Win the whole thing obviously :D

But seriously - Kruijswijk is good at such prolonged high efforts. He doesn't have the best acceleration. Lets see how this ends, but i am rooting for him.

Good points. The train is a bit confused at the moment. Brailsford has gathered all the sports and nutrition scientists and they have a crisis meeting as we speak.

Yeah Sieberg was with Greipel so it might have been him who abandoned.

Back of the race would now be Pozzovivo, Taaramae, Gaviria and Richeze at 18:23
