Interesting move but will reserve judgement (but not contain my enthusiasm!) until AdH.

Krushweak's move is very good for the race but it will most likely end his GC hopes, guess Rogla is the leader after all.

Well or he could fight for top 10 perhaps with the usual tactics of following Sky and then lose even more time when G or Froome attack and then in the TT. But I am guessing that hardly motivates him, he's been top 10 a couple of times now. If you play the Sky game you will most often lose.

Actually very brave from Kruiswijk. Considering he always gets better in the 3rd week and his promising perfromance yesterday, he probably would easily get a top10 with riding conservatively.

Gallopin struggled yesterday and is 4 minutes behind the Greipel/Demare/Groenewegen group. Looks like Bardet will lose another team mate

I'm so jealous for those guys, being able to ride in this gorgeous weather and terrain, especially those without any particular objective today other than to arrive within the time limit.

Jealous of the pain? You might be one of a few.

I heard a rider on the radio last week and according to him, riding the gruppetto is far from an easy view-enjoying ride  He was also complaining about riders who are actual climbers but are seemingly taking a day off in the gruppetto, as they apparently tend to disrupt the pace there

After doing some math on his pocket calculator, Brailsford decided the maximum time allowed for the break, 2 minutes.

And he would never sacrifice the train to send one of them in the break as well.

I know Froome tends to like the heat, how about his rivals? It looks hot hot hot out there.

Re: Le Tour '18 stage 12: Bourg-Saint-Maurice > Alpe d'Huez

LOL at the break. Quality climbers abound. Genuine talent. Doesn't matter. In the TDF, Sky's domestiques are stronger climbers than the best GC guys on other teams, and the train will grind this down till Froome and GT are launched for the circus finale on L'Alpe d'Huez. Froome 1, GT 2, and the mortals battle it out for 3rd.

It's all in the fueling don't you know. These other teams don't know how to fuel properly, so how are their riders going to perform.

I've been a bit out of the loop this season.... When the hell did Geraint Thomas basically become the 2nd best climber in the world? Is he really able to drop the likes of Quintana and bardet now?

Gap is still 2 minutes and not only Kruijswijk/Valverde but even Amador/Gesink have spent a long time following wheels. Not that bad for the attackers.

He most likely had his preparation completely adjusted to the TDF in the case Froome wouldn't have started, so he's in top shape now

I remember him doing very well until he crashed into a pole a couple of seasons ago. I'm surprised he's so much better than all the others now though. Is he really that good or have the other GC guys just got way worse?
