Movistar?

Agression?

In the Tour?

I chuckled

That's the thing, it wouldn't even have to be aggressive. Valverde could sit in the larger group up front while sky burned riders chasing it down once it got too far ahead
Exactly. Any team with more than one GC possibility should have one in the break there. Not just teammates that aren't gonna be able to do anything cause your main GC rider won't attack early anyway and cayse Sky will outnumber you 4 to 1 in domestiques.
It wouldn't work as noone in the break would want to ride with Valverde in the break.
Alaphilippe would, he wants the polka dots. Same for the likes of Barguil. If Izaguirre is there for Nibs, he might as well work with Valverde. Etc etc etc.
Izagirre would work for Nibali's rival? No, basically the break would just stop riding and tell Valverde to fall back.

Monster of a climb, too bad is not at the end of the stage.

Yeah, Bisanne is a monster. Have ridden it once, was enough. Doesn't get much publicity because it's kind of sheltered without much exposure, and it ends on the Les Saisies ski area plateau, which is around 1600 m (Bisanne summit, as it were, is around 1900 m). But it starts from a deep valley.

Rowe off the front, train down to 7, hope springs eternal.

i stand corrected, he is back at the front, maybe he dropped back and 'eyeballed' the Movistar boys a la Armstrong.
Went to get bottles. Of wine, and a cheese board, and some bread.
i think i just saw Moscon playing Angry Birds on his phone.
:D

Watching this SKY team, do the other teams get a bit demoralised watching this happen, or are they just happy to sit on in the hope they can attack towards the end and hope Froome or G are just as knackered following wheels for k's and k's? Is it a case of the SKY team being able to practice this high pace train scenario with such a strong team they have so the other teams can't match them in a real time race? When you see Movistar, you would think they would be able to give SKY a run for their money (strength of rider wise) but they have gone for the 3 leaders scenario instead of using 2 of them as super strong doms. Quintana, I think would give Froome a good game one on one (take away ITT) so I think Movistar may have made a boo boo this time round. As much as its boring to watch, it is a very effective way of winning GT's.
