Kristoff kinda stupid for not looking where the line is... he could throw the bike for the 1st place probably.
He always does that, remember stage 16 in 2016, but he wouldn't have won today anyway.

Got all of my other match ups right, last one was richize vs Laporte. Don't even think Richize was in the front group . Going to cost me heaps

Exactly my thoughts. He made the same mistake to Sagan in the Tour stage to Switzerland (Bern?) in 2016, where he lost after a photo finish, because Sagan threw his bike, whereas Kristoff didn't. One would think, that he learnt from that..

"throwing your bike" at the end of a stage isn't that easy and you also have to time it right .... but glad Sagan won this .... the next two stages are perhaps GvA and Gilbert territory ....

How many stages is Sagan off Merxkc

way too many, to even dream of getting there .... (think Merckx has 34 and Sagan 11 now) ....

it depends which statistics he meant. In total Sagan is way too far from Merckx. But he's only 1 win from Merckx in raindbow jersey. He could actually beat that this year already.

provided he get's to Paris, Sagan could secure the green jersey after two weeks (he'll need to be 281 points ahead of the second) ... not sure that has ever been the case
however I hope, he'll take little care about the intermediate sprints from now on and concentrate on winning more stages (one or two seem quite possible) - of course the biggest thing would be to win on the Champs for the first time ...

Only these:

MERCKX Eddy (63)
LEDUCQ André (57)
ZABEL Erik (53)
FRANTZ Nicolas (50)
HINAULT Bernard (46)
KELLY Sean (43)

Have more Tour podiums than Sagan (42)

When you count podium placings, its getting quite close.

Eddie has 67 podiums (not counting prologues, but counting many ITT).
Sagan has already 43 podiums.

Not so far away, considering his consistence:)

Its much easier to throw your bike when youre not riding it.
